This Corner Cafe is a popular lunch destination for NOAA employees. This is turkey on Rye with pesto, cucumber, lettuce, onion, and sprouts.
What' Amazing! Not so salty or spicy but just about right and mild. Fun to eat, too.Jabchaebab have an interesting chewy texture.

One of my go-to lunch spots while working at NOAA. It's pretty busy during the luschool rush so I try to go before 1150am. I'm a sucker for their chicken casear wrap with bacon or double chicken. The food is fresh and tasty. With a bag of chips and a bottle of coke it comes to about $20. I've seen many people try the Korean bowls and people in the office come here regularly, I suggest you do as well.

Saw this cafe while on the way home one morning and wanted to check it out. I also love to support small businesses. The inside of the cafe was nice and there was a good amount of seating. They serve both breakfast and lunch. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on sourdough. It was ok. I don't think there was enough bacon on the sandwich either. A girl needs a few slices or thick cut bacon, lol. The service was ok. The lady who fixed my sandwich was really nice. The other lady who was at the register didn't seem that friendly or inviting. Bad day? Maybe...idk. The cafe is located on a busy road but I believe there's garage parking as well as the Silver Spring metro and bus station.

I've attempted to eat here twice in the last two months and both times were unsuccessful -- here's why:1 - Card minimums. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese but the manager was holding it hostage until I found cash to pay for it with. Apparently they have a $5 minimum to use your card. I would like to call out two very important things regarding this. 1. Establishing a debit card minimum is illegal. Merchants accepting Visa or MasterCard credit or debit cards are not allowed to set a minimum amount for using the card; that is a violation of the merchant agreement. Now luckily for them, my friend spotted my breakfast (which wasn't even good TBH). Had she not been there a phone call to Visa would have happened.2 - Exclusions on breakfast items. Today, I walked in and asked if they had sliced turkey meat. The woman who makes the food replies yes. I then ordered a turkey, egg and cheese on a bagel only for her to tell me that she cannot do that. I ask her why and she insists on providing me with turkey bacon - not sliced turkey as it is for lunch. I am a PAYING customer. I have CASH this time. You can't go into the refrigerator and get 2 slices of turkey for a bagel?!TL;DR - Penny pinching and bad customer service will ensure that I will NEVER return to this establishment again. I'm sure they don't care, they're surrounded by offices so they will make their money regardless.

Personally, they seem to have a bad attitude. That alone makes me not want to go in there. However, their food is just okay. It's a great place to get a quick bit. They seem to get anxiety and look to the boss when you ask for a substitute or try to personalize your lunch. You would think you're a burden to them they way they act. Also, stay away from the Salmon. I ordered a salad there and realized the the salmon is mechanically separated and formed into what you think is salmon. I don't know what sort of fillers they used in there, but if you have a shellfish allergy, but still can eat fish, don't eat that salmon. My tongue has been itching since I realized this mid way through the salad. I'm assuming they maybe there is something in there binding it together that i'm having a reaction to.

I've been here a few times and was contemplating how many stars I would give it. Initially I thought 4, but I bumped it up to 5 for a few reasons.Meat quality: The meat is carved right in front of you. How many deli places in the DMV do that?!Snacks selection: Really broad selection of chips, baked, kettled cooked, rice chips, etc. Lots of organic options of energy bars and chocolates too.Drinks: Lots of bottled drinks, many organic or small producer options.Service: Brusque but very quick. You're not gonna wait in line an hour for a sandwich.Decor: Really pretty framed pictures of sunflowers on the wall, nice bright colors. Overall, this is your local neighborhood deli, but it gets 5 stars for all the obvious thought that went into creating this place. Prices are similiar to most sandwich places (around $6-$8 for most sandwiches and salads). Most people who eat here are from the local NOAA offices and they seem to come, grab stuff and go, but there's seating inside if you want to eat there.Support your local restaurants and eat here instead of Einstein's down the street!

One of the many things I miss about NJ/NYC is being surrounded by so many good bagel shops. Everyone had their favorite, but you could really go to any of them and get a solid bagel breakfast sandwich. 'TIS doesn't come close to what I'm used to, but it definitely helps when I need my sausage, egg, & cheese bagel fix. The meat is very flavorful and they pile the egg on there. The bagels are not the best, but definitely better quality than many places in the DC area that I've experienced. The bagel perfectly complements the rest of the sandwich, and it's balanced so you don't feel like there's hardly any filling. I wish they were open on the weekends, but they basically cater to the NOAA employees, so can't say I blame them for only being open during the week.

This little deli is located in the NOAA building complex in Silver Spring. It was formally the Atrium Cafe. The new owners have completely redone this deli with a more modern set up. The store is has a clean and efficient feel when you walk in. The Sandwiches are the only option i have had so far at this deli. The meat is freshly carved, Turkey, or Roast Beef) in front of you when you order. The veggies and bread are also very fresh. The sandwiches run about 6 bucks and are a great lunch option for people that work in Silver Spring. They also offer salads, soup, and wraps. An assortment of cookies, chips, and drinks is also available.
