One of the best restaurants in the region. Consistently great food, superior service and an amazing wine list.Recommend their Beef Program. Try any cut from Roseda Farms for perfectly cooked grass fed local beef. Brussel sprouts or the mac & cheese are the way to go for sides. For appetizers the maple-glazed pork belly with blue corn grits is something special. For dessert the Chocolate "Smith Island " Cake is next level good for chocolate lovers!Logistics: Parking garage around the corner. We came for a celebratory brunch on a snowy Sunday and were treated to a wonderful dining experience from top to bottom! The service from front of house staff to waitstaff was exceptional--warm, welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere lends itself well for a cozy, intimate, quiet environment for one on one and group conversation alike. The cocktail menu was inventive, the wine and beer selection impressive. The burgers received 5 stars from the meat eaters at the table. As the vegetarian at the table, I enjoyed the $27 two-course deal, ordering the Burrata and Mushroom Hash. The Burrata was beautifully plated and screamed creativity with the paired flavors and components, elevating beyond the usual tomato/balsamic pairing. The focaccia was fresh with just the right level of crunch, and the perfect vehicle for enjoying each texturally complex and flavorful bite. The Mushroom Hash (I sub'd egg whites) was similarly bold in flavor. A touch over salted for my taste but not overwhelmingly so. It also would have benefit from a bit more of the underlying sauce to provide a bit more cohesion to the dish.Terrific first impression, Wine Kitchen team, and looking forward to our next visit!

The service was astounding. They are very friendly and welcoming. The ambiance feels very upscale and unique. The food was delicious! We got the shareable prime ribs and they melt in your mouth, so delicious! The roasted carrots that came alongside were a bit overly salted, but the fries were delicious, you can't go wrong with fries. We also got the charcuterie board and that was fun! There was a wide assortment of cheeses, pickled items, jam, and bread/crackers - one thing I'd note is that the cheddar was extremely stale and very very hard. We also got a wine flight of Cabernet and it was great! All and all, wonderful restaurants. Perfect for a date night, and a lovely place to have a nice wine night. I would definitely come back to try their other food!

8.17.24My husband and I met up for dinner with my former work friends who are now retirees. We had dinner reservations for 7 at 5:30 pm and had a semi-private area in the back. They had a 3-course menu ($55) for Restaurant Week which everyone in our party took advantage of except me and my husband who ordered off the regular menu. The food was exceptional. Hubby and I ordered Maple-Glazed Pork belly for our appetizer and the Short Ribs for 2 for our main course. The pork belly came with grits. Although it was delicious, it was pricy ($18) given the portion. Literally just two bites per person. LOVED the short ribs. It was so tender and wonderfully flavored. We ordered the mac & cheese and mashed potatoes for our sides which were equally amazing. For convenience, I would have preferred if they served it on individual plates rather than putting it on a platter. For dessert, I ordered a scoop of the Salted Caramel. The sea salt was not dispersed evenly so some bites were very salty compared to others. Also, the ice cream was semi-melted and runny. I want my ice cream to be firm and solid. My friends and their spouses enjoyed their meals and alcoholic beverages. We enjoyed the food, drinks, service and each other's company. I haven't laughed that much in a while. It was a fun evening. Some helpful notes:Patio seating is available. There is a parking garage behind the restaurant which you can access through a building.

I love it here! This was my second time and it's better than the first. I got some of my favorites... oysters, steak, fries. Everything was delicious, but the standout was the beef fat fries. I had an out of body experience... I felt like Keanu Reeves in "Beef". If you haven't seen it, do!Service was very attentive and made good recommendations. There is a house bread but you have to request it. Frederick is such a calm reprieve from DC but this beautiful restaurant is even nicer sitting on the beautiful creek. My first visit was during Covid years and the creek was not as well maintained. Everything about this visit was so refreshing, all the way to "The Real Dill" mocktail. I felt so fancy drinking this alcohol free gin drink! An hour from the city but well worth the drive!

They have another location near Leesburg, VA, but this is a better location by far. They had a really good mac and cheese with a light crunch of bread crumbs. It was a bit liquid-y but that's because it came out hot. The smash burger had a crispy, well grilled meat, and a light sauce at the bun. Fries are crispy enough for its thickness. The shrimp and grits are such a good entree. The shrimps are huge and the sauce is just lightly spiced. I was surprised that the grits were slightly purple, but it made for a great presentation.

The area is really homey and pretty with the long creek! Waiters were very friendly and we got seated quickly. I forgot exactly what drinks we got but I think it was peach cobbler, blue lagoon and joyous spring. All were decent, alcohol on the stronger side in terms of flavor.Charcuterie - 3.5/5 really yummy! All the meats and cheese were unique and tasty and the bread was seasoned and yummy too. Love trying it with the jam! It's pretty small though.Steak - 4/5 very soft and beefy. I loved the steak but the fries were not good. It was fun trying the steak with the different seasoning salts tooMushroom toast - I only tried a little bite since it was my friends but it was pretty tasty too!

I would dare say, the best food option in Frederick. The wine kitchen is located right by a small stream / river, serves yummy food, and has AMAZING drink deals (whiskey flights, affordable yet tasty wines). We sat out on the patio which was super fun for people watching. Pet friendly too. Service was OK - I thought it could've been a little better given the price-point, but nothing to complain about. If I'm in the area, I would definitely come back!
