Looked from the reviews but it was a flop for us.What we got:Jalapeno pepper poppers - 3* I'm always intrigued by fried food because when done well it is REALLY good. But this was typical pub/bar fried appetizer that left you feeling greasy and wanting a home cooked meal. Next time we'll try the fries.Maryland crab soup - 3* my bad assuming this would be a cream of crab soup, I should've asked. Our server did offer to take it back but I declined. This one is tomatoes based with veggies. While I saw many think shred of crab, it was not as prominent of a flavour as I was hoping. If I'm ever in the area at the right time I'll have to try their cream of crab. I believe they offer it every other Friday.Chesapeake chicken - 3* average sandwich. The chicken wasn't anything spectacular but I was happy about the crap. The fries were ok.Buffalo chicken breast - 3* average. Nothing really stood out about it and didn't leave you wanting more.

I love this restaurant, especially the bar! It is very homey and cozy. Their foods are great, but especially doom fries (loaded fries) are must!!! Great price, great service, great people.

We were immediately met by a the Hostess with a warm welcome. The menu has a great variety to choose from starting with appetizers, soup/salads, sandwiches and entrees. We opted for sandwiches and will DEFINITELY be back for a night out to try the entrees. The French dip and Chicken Chesapeake sandwiches were AMAZING! Recommending the fresh cut fries and their homemade coleslaw. The service throughout our meal was wonderful. We really enjoyed our experience. If you are looking for a wonderful meal you've got to stop! We will definitely be back!

Delicious Maryland crqb soup and crab cake! Husband and son said the burgers were yummy! Have been three times since stumbling upon it on yelp! Service is good and friendly staff.

Had the salmon blt. The dill mayo was phenomenal. My 11 year old had the pulled pork with bbq and loved it. Service was excellent. Very quick. Love the casual feel.

We love going to the Tavern. Our favorite go to meal is the coconut shrimp and club sandwich along with a cup of MD crab soup.

We went here after a visit to the Walkersville Railroad. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The restaurant gives a family friendly vibe and homey feel to it. Will return when in the area.

My sandwich was a very good size for the price, food was good but the place is not totally to my liking, there is nothing wrong with it is just that I like to have vegan and vegetarian options there is not many in their menu or perhaps none

Great food and good service for the most part. A nice place to grab a drink and something to eat

The oyster dinner special is not only delicious but a huge portion. Highly recommend. Love the coleslaw too.
