The Velvet Chocolatier

Unbelievably delicious chocolate!!! A friend sent them to me in Los Angeles and it's a good thing I am not nearby. My husband and I ate the entire box in one very quick sitting. I am not a fan of overly designed chocolates and tend to steer clear of gourmet candies. These were very subtle but paradoxically rich with great texture!

Delicious and unique chocolates! All the chocolate made in house. Very friendly service. My favorite one is dark chocolate truffle.

Amazing chocolates! I love their truffles. I got a sampler for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day and she was extremely pleased. You can tell a lot of love was put into them. Their chocolate covered strawberries were delightful. I also got a sampler for a charity basket and hope to share these treats for years to come.

Everything is delicious and all hand-made! They have an array of barks, truffles, bars, caramels and more! There's something for everyone!

My boyfriend brought home an assortment to surprise me. I have never had their chocolate or even heard of them. They are pricey, $22 for 9 small chocolates, but they were delicious! The cocoa was my favorite!

I've been a customer of Ruthie and her staff for a couple of years now and can't recommend them more highly. The chocolate is AMAZING and the staff are friendly and efficient. Sure, you're paying more than you would for a Whitman's sampler or something, but this chocolate, far and away, isn't even in the same league. The truffles are seriously rich and decadent. If you have a chocolate lover in your life and you want to get them a gift they'll never forget, head to Velvet Chocolatier.

This is a small chocolate bakery in the Stevenson Village shopping center, that was recently featured by Oprah! for the finest things. The staff is very friendly and chocolate is FANTASTIC! I recommend stopping by and trying them out. I recently purchased a Groupon and gave them a try and was very surprised at the high quality chocolate. They offer a selection of truffles, caramels (Oprah recommended) and chocolate bark (bags with sheets of chocolate with added ingredients like blueberries and cranberries).

Do not get their chocolate1) they have mice2) markets as kosher but uses non kosher ingredients 3) the owner does not take care or respects her employees 4) have a nut allergy? Forget it, everything sits next to everything in the back5) recipes are not original, found them in a cook book (I was a previous employer a couple years ago and have never hated working for someone more, I'm all for supporting local businesses but this place was awful. The truffles and bark are good and get 1 star for that but everything else falls below)

I have not been to their shop. I buy my Dark Chocolate toffee bark at Graul's. It is addictive. So thin, which I love. I don't know how they do it. Yes it is pricey, but worth treating yourself.
