GREAT VIBES!!Came here on a Saturday night. Loved the vibes and energy here. Music was amazing. Some afrobeats along w/ some old school jams.The club had maybe 20 people inside when I came. I thought it would be more livelier on a Saturday night, but the chill music and atmosphere made up for it.I will definitely be coming back when I'm in town.I just gotta bring a more energetic friend to get the crowd a little more hyped up. They were a lil reserved.The bartender gave me a break-down of the history of the place.I didn't get the bartenders name, but she was beautiful thick mama w/ that southern charm.CROWD was older. I would say 40+.Definitely for the grown and sexy..Some people complain about the prices.. I didn't have any issues..The only negative I had (which is no fault of the club at all) is I made the mistake of walking out late at night from my hotel which was located by the Inner Harbor. When I did the walk, it looked so unassuming when I did google maps with satellite view. However, I haven't so many crackheads pop out from hidden alleys in all of my life. I felt like I was auditioning for "The Walking Dead" episode. I haven't walked so fast and I think I made a 20 min walk in under 10 minutes.When I got to the bar, a crack head came running to me n telling me to call the cops cause she had been assaulted.MEMO TO ALL NON-RESIDENTS: Uber to your destination.I definitely gotta befriend a Baltimore resident cause I don't understand how we go from a beautiful block to a left turn into degenerate Ville. Just makes no sense to me, but I digress..Overall, would be 5 Stars---its just the area.

Very nice environment and the crowd was great, older crowd which I enjoyed. The music was on point and the drinks were amazing!! I will be going back!!

They make the best drinks and the DJ keeps the floor spinning!!! A mature and safe space to enjoy yourself!

While the music is good, the wait on service at the bar is horrible. 2 for 1 drinks until 6:30 pm. Waited 30 minutes just to get one drink. Free food provided throughout the week, however, mac and cheese was too salty last night. Limited seating

I've been to this place 2xs and I loved each time! The people are nice, no nonsense. The drinks are nice, the bartenders are everything! I truly enjoyed the vibe and next time I'll be back with my girlfriends!

My fellow Yelpers did not warn me that, The Place is 35 and over. My friends and I showed up on a Friday night to a clean,comfortable atmosphere with nice lounge seating. Mood lighting and candles. There was a very kind woman who greeted us and carded us, as we were all ages 26-30 We didn't stay for drinks. I heard they have a good happy hour. Seems like something I'd return for. Can't beat a 2:1 deal!I give 4 stars for lounge vibe and warm hospitality/ service. But I lost cool point for bringing my friends to a 35 and older!!

Came here on a Tuesday night to see my friend perform a dj set. Happy hour prices end at 7. He played all 90s music. Line dances and some old school bmore house tracks. Its hard gettin the bartendars attention at times. The place itself is pretty small. They had a free buffet which consisted of delicious fried chicken wings. String beans and yummy mac n cheese.

So this is my third or fourth time coming here. I have to say that the so-called 2 for 1 happy hour is not what happened tonight. There's no way that two drinks should cost $37. Two mediocre drinks. Especially in Bmore. Nope, I'm good.

What a wonderful place! Grown & Sexy ...30 & OverStrict dress code .In the summer the back deck is open for cigars you can purchase some there as well.Happy hour is my fav 2 for 1 from 5pm-7pm those seats fill fast and there aren't many so get there ASAP .There almost always a party with plenty of food and cake for everyone.They have yummy house drinks my go to it called P.O.T.U.SYeah you read that right and after 2 of these you will definitely feel like POTUS lol the base consist of Hennessy & Grand MarnierGood stuff...Oh yeah the owner is very sweet and fashionable!! See you there!

So I want to thank Ms. Ann of The Place for hosting my aunt's 60th Surprise Birthday Party. It's one of Baltimore's best kept secrets. The music is great- think Stevie Wonder, Luther, Earth, Wind, and Fire; old skool house and reggae. I love the atmosphere, not pretentious, but instinctively chic, while still managing to be as familiar as your coolest uncle's house party. The crowd is mature and the drinks are always great. I recommend their signature drink, "The Place." ***But be advised it's strictly for the grown, sexy, and sophisticated. Ann and Darnell won't tolerate foolishness and have a strict and enforced dress code.***
