The Original Dominicks of Parkville

DoorDash screwed up our order and Dominick's was extremely fast and courteous to make it right, even though it wasn't their fault at all. Also, pizza is no joke the best in Parkville.

We were in the area, picking up an item from a fb marketplace seller, and needed a snack. Yelp made Dominick's look decent, so we stopped in.This is a take away place only. No seating. There was a television to keep us company while we waited, about 20 minutes, for our sandwiches.I had the Steak Swiss Burger (Swiss, fried onions, mushrooms and A-1 sauce, plus mayo) but found the A1 sauce overwhelming. Also I did not expect double patties. This will be pretty hilarious when we come to Jeremy's order. The fries were perfect - crisp yet soft in the middle, and nicely seasoned.Jeremy had the BBQ Burger (BBQ sauce, savory bacon, Swiss cheese and fried onions - substituted out the Swiss for cheddar and pepperjack) and asked to double the meat. The woman behind the counter looked at him funny but gave him what he wanted. We didn't know until he unwrapped his monstrosity of a burger that it had FOUR patties on it.He also had some garlic parmesan wings, which he hated because they also had hot sauce on them. They didn't offend me, but I'm not the chicken wing eating expert of the relationship.A friend had a cheesesteak that looked pretty satisfying. She did not complain.Perfectly tolerable, but don't see any reason to return.

Pizza is mediocre. Customer service poor. It used to be a good carry out joint. We won't return.

This is the best pizza in Parkville. Every time my husband suggests Papa John's or Pizza Boli's, he definitely gets the side eye. Highly recommend.

Pepperoni pizza is 10/10. Quick service, clean inside. Go to pizza spot, they also deliver

UPDATED: they ended up charging our card. We called the credit card company to dispute the charges. To tell us we'd have the refund in 3-5 days was just another lie. Yesterday was the last time we'll order from this place. We've been coming here for many years, my husband alone prior to that. We've dealt with our fair share of cold pizzas, topping missing, wrong pizzas sent, but yesterday was it. At 2:30 pm we ordered a simple order, $10 of it was a driver's tip (we always tip well). Over an hour later, we were still still waiting. We called, were put on hold, got disconnected and called back again. When l asked if they knew anything about our order, they immediately knew what order l was calling about. l was told they were waiting on the driver....so they knew it was late. She told me they only had one driver. Then she said "it's on the way". A 1/2 hour later we called again. We were told it would be 10 minutes. "He was on his way" l said "to us or to pick up our order?" the response was "to you". I said will it be hot? She said yes, we only have one driver. We knew it wasn't on the way. We ended up canceling the order and asked for a refund. No refund or notice of a refund being processed today and they're telling us the refund can take up to 5 days to receive. Come freaking on. This place is a joke anymore. We're finally done. If you don't have enough drivers, then post something on your FB page or business page. It's a waste of time and money not to let customers know this. It's become hit or miss and it's a freaking drag. No consistency, no real care, a waste of $$.

The only reason I can't give them a 5 is that my order isn't always right. They sometimes, not often, miss a condiment, cheese, a drink or something small. However, the food is always delish, fresh, hot, and delivered promptly, and with care. Their sauce is a nice balance of sweet and tangy, and somewhat thick. The pasta (pizza dough) is not heavy and has a nice flavor, not heavy -- just right. Their version of extra cheese is a lot of cheese. I've had their subs, sandwiches, BBQ bacon super big burger, pastas (lasagna and shells), salads and apps. Never disappointed. yet. One sub will last 2-3 days. They're stuffed, fresh and big. I think the negative reviews came when staff was short, order volumes were high, and just nothing seems easy with COVID.I've tried every recommended pizza place within a 15-mile radius of Parkville, and I keep returning to Dominic's.

Don't do it!!! The place is a joke. They screwed up the order YET AGAIN today. 9 out of 10 times the order is wrong. Don't bother asking for it to be made the way you want it and are willing to pay for, because it will come any old way the people that work there decide how they are going to make it. My wife insists on ordering from them because it is nearby. I personally never order from them after seeing how many times they have butchered our orders. And so, whenever she orders an Italian cold cut sub for me, it's NEVER correct. NEVER.. I mean how hard is it make one with Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, & Hots with NO mayonnaise? Clearly the management and staff could care less about order accuracy. You would think a pizza/sub shop in this day would know how to make a simple Italian cold cut sub. Not these guys. This is MEDIOCRE food at best, and very pricey at that. Order accuracy and food quality is hit or miss! Not a good deal at all for the money.Just don't do it.

This might be the worst pizza that I've ever eaten, about an 1/8" thick, dried out and tasteless. Zero sauce on it.

I ordered 3 subs. I told them hots only on one. Fries were very salty and all 3 subs were loaded with hots. I called to tell them about mix up and they were very rude about it. First time I ever hung up on someone. I will never return to this place. I don't like rude people who try to tell you that it's your fault,not theirs
