My mom and I ordered the vegetarian platter off Uber Eats while visiting someone at Johns Hopkins. The food was delicious and relatively healthy, but felt like comfort food, in part because of the naan bread and seasoned rice. The cuisine is Afghan, and very similar to North Indian food in terms of flavor. The portion sizes are really large. The one recommendation I'd have is it would be nice if it were easier to substitute items, and also if the butternut squash was less sweet. I think it's supposed to be sweet but it was a little too much for us. But we generally loved the food and would absolutely order it again.

I got takeout from here and it was really good! The portions are large which is nice and it's really flavorful! I've walked past a few times and it doesn't seem like anything special in terms of the inside of the restaurant but I'm sure it's a decent vibe with decent service!

My first meal in Baltimore and it was a good one. The menu on the wall and the menu they gave me were semi different? So I used the menu they gave me and ordered the gyro platter. It came with lamb, rice, fries, hummus/pita, and a side salad. Everything was delicious. The inside was also really nice/spacious and the food came very quickly. I recommend.

I've visited this restaurant multiple times Ive been Baltimore and have had a number of their dishes: Hummus, Chicken Kabobs, and Chicken Tikka. The food is made to order, and always comes out piping hot. On my last visit, I burned my tongue on the tikka masala dish I was so impatient. The tikka was very rich, but oily. The spicy chicken kabob is marinated in jalapeños and cilantro. It isnt exactly spicy as it is tasteful. The basmati rich is mixed with carrots and raisins which is exactly how I had it in Afghanistan. When I first had this, in 2016 I was pleasantly surprised at the combination of the ingredients producing such a great taste. The hummus comes with bread and is always good. Depending on the cook, it either comes topped with a lot or little olive oil and saffron. The restaurant itself is a seat yourself, was clean on every stop in and inviting.

Afghan classic!Today I tried the Kabul located by the power live in downtown Baltimore. The setting is nice as they have an area for indoor eating and an area to pick up as well. They are also open until 11pm so that was good too. I was able to order my food on the phone to which I ordered the tandoori chicken entree. I subbed out the salad for extra rice and bread and I'm glad I did that. The rice is sweet I think they cooked It with pumpkin. I liked It but some may want to opt for white rice. The bread is nice and soft and complimented the chicken. The chicken was a bit dry but still had great flavor and they give you three dark meat halves so you're getting a lot for $13 The lady was nice and attentive to my order as well. I will definitely order here again

Decided to try one of ther lunch specials. I went with the gyro over rice. The lamb was tender & well seasoned. I enjoyed the gyro sauce also but was a lil disappointed that it didn't come with a little lettuce. I wouldn't mind eating this again and would like to try something different on my next go around.

I often find myself craving the Kabul, and every time I give in I'm never disappointed. Everything tastes fresh and the seasoning is always amazing. Prices are great and the portions are big too! Usually things are also done pretty fast. My favorite thing to order is the mixed Gyro Platter. I'm actually OBSESSED with it, the meat is so tender and the sauce is creamy and delicious. The chicken has the perfect amount of spice and is my favorite part of the dish! The other platters are good as well, but I've found the meat to be a little dry. The rice and spices in the meat combos make up for it though because they're amazing. I also love to order their samosas.
