The Island at Flying Point Marina

My go to are the trash can wings... nice place to come by boat. If you do, make sure you walk out by the side of the building near the parking lot to check in with the hostess.

Went here for dinner last night as it has been on our must try list for a while now! The view, ambiance and atmosphere is AMAZING! We went during the early evening and got to watch the sunset. However, food was lackluster and just basic bar style food. The chicken bacon ranch wrap, fries and homemade chips were decent - however the crap dip and chicken tenders were hard no's for our group of 4. Would recommend as a place to grab a drink and catch up with a friend, not necessarily for dinner. We also never received refills on any drinks and weren't asked until we were given the check. We were at the table for almost an hour and a half - with one drink each.

This place is beautiful! It's right on the water, has live local music outside, it's dog friendly. We went to celebrate my daughter's birthday on Friday evening, Grant was our server and he was awesome! We got a couple appetizers, fried oysters and chicken tenders - they were really good. My daughter & son in law got shrimp tacos and said they were delicious. The restaurant even has a dog menu - my grand dog loved the chicken licken and pup cup!

I have frequent this place several times. It's a beautiful island to visit but the food needs to be tempted properly. I ordered a cream of crab it had decent flavor but watery. The lumps were huge but the soup was cold.The excuse I was given was that the crab meat was cold. They both were cold. The burger was tempted properly. The drinks are creative and fun. The last time I went was the last day on Oct 19,2024 around 1:30. I walked to the hostess stand to be seated, the young lady ask if I had a preference of seating. I asked for the bar and she proceeded to tell me to head upstairs and have a seat. I proceeded upstairs and I didn't notice anyone at first as I place my items on the seat. I went into the actual bar itself to let someone know I was there. I was greeted with an aggressive tone and questions by a female i believe her name was Krista. I tried to tell her that the hostess stated that I could sit up here but she proceeded to get aggressive. She was a white girl with blonde hair and ponytails. I decided to go back to the hostess and ask to be seated on the beach area instead because the young lady was being weird. I should've just left but I didn't want to miss the live band at 2pm. Which was ultimately the reason why I came and for the drinks. I was then seated on the beach and my server was Xavier. The experience with him was very nice and pleasant. I'm unsure if I will return considering what has transpired. There are a few other marinas with restaurants that I'm willing to try.

This is my second time here, and it's still as pretty as I remembered from the 1st time. I didn't have food this time, just drinks. This lil spot definitely makes me feel like I'm on an island, from the palm trees, to the sand, to the water. The had a band playing of which were pretry good. The service was really slow, I had to stop another waiter to ask who my waiter waa. However; my waiter was very pleasant. They could have been short-staffed that particular day. Although I'm glad I wasn't waiting for food, but I'll definitely be back a 3rd time.

What a great hidden gem in Edgewood, MD. Service was outstanding. Food delicious. Literally feels like you have escaped to a tropical island ambiance.

I read reviews before going and frankly wasn't expecting much in the way of service but I have to say they were very attentive. Stopped in for a quiet lunch of some wings and onion rings, which were damn good. The wings were juicy and the batter on the onion rings was light.The marina itself provides a beautiful view to take in, adding to the ambiance.Great place.

Hidden gem in Edgewood! Food was pretty good, clean area outside for dining (I did not go into the restaurant). The service was a little slow but it could've been just the day due to call outs or maybe our server was new. She was very pleasant and polite. Overall, a great lunch with coworkers. We will return and I would recommend. Con: Unfortunately, they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

A party of 7 of us from 12 to 70 something met to listen to the rock band, get some food and enjoy the view of the water on a sunny Saturday afternoon. We were greeted by friendly staff who helped us choose a table. The servers were attentive and all of them appeared to be working hard along with the food runners. The brisket sandwich, the cream of crab, the buffalo chicken wrap, the fries and cheese burger were all reported to be good. Someone got a nacho appetizer which was the only item that was just OK. Creamsicle was the favorite drink ordered. Key lime and watermelon crushes were ok. We had a great time and we highly recommend trying this place out on a good weather day. Keep in mind...your on the water...bring a jacket : )

Great location, with beautiful views. The servers were very attentive and the food was decent, especially given the reasonable prices! Will be definitely coming back.
