The Happy Grape

Great place to pick up wine, good selection and they've had a sale rack where we found a very nice Pinot Noir.We had good recommendations from the guy for restaurants.

More if a corner store type spot, not as much of a selection but in a pinch you may find something.

The owner (?) is amazing. My friend lives in a nearby apartment and comes to The Happy Grape pretty often. A couple of weeks there while apartment hunting for my new job in DC, and I've made about three trips to the store, where the owner was BEYOND helpful, knowledgeable and hospitable.The prices are a little steeper than a supermarket or chain store, but you're in a dedicated wine shop in the downtown of a major city; that's to be expected.Overall, I HIGHLY recommend The Happy Grape. You'll find anything from cheaper wines to high-end fare, plus organics wines, right in a little store on the corner.

Good variety and selection. Decent range of prices. Best part is the helpful staff. Great locale downtown.

Whilst we were in Baltimore for the Raider vs Raven game we needed to find some wine etc This dainty place nestled on the street was just perfect! Upon entering the young gentlemen asked if he could assist is finding anything. He was rather knowledgeable of wine, local beverages and more. The prices are reasonable considering where it's located. Inside you'll find that there is a variety beverages from low to moderate in price.The store was very well organized and clean. It's close the the hotel RL and some other hotels. If you are in this area swing by!!

Small, yet mighty! Always friendly service! Decent chance they'll have that hard-to-find you're looking...

Came here to buy some wine to bring onto a cruise ship departing from Baltimore to Bermuda. The guy working there was really knowledgeable on the local craft beers and gave me a suggestion to try the strawberry sour, which I ended up loving. I wish I had more time to also try the local hazy IPA. The wine that I ended up buying to take onto the cruise was good too, but there was nothing particular about the selection that stood out to me. A lot of their wine does come from California (where I'm from) or outside of the country.

Went to buy a six pack of Stella's, however once I tasted them noticed a different flavor. Turns out that it was expired (even thought it was in the fridge.)

Found this place while walking around the area from our hotel. They had a decent selection of beer and wine for a small shop. The guy working the register was very helpful and recommended some great local craft brews and a great bottle of wine. He offered a great suggestion for a restaurant/pub around the corner for some great bar fare.
