Let me tell you about this place! It was absolutely amazing. The menu offered a large variety of dishes and options that all sounded incredible. It was hard to pick an option and even narrow it down.We were first served complimentary truffle popcorn. I started off with the cream of crab soup, which was pure perfection. It came with chunks of crab meat. In the end for my entree, I went with the Baltimore Club, which is a crab cake, shrimp salad, lettuce, tomato, and bacon on potato bread. It is served with hand cut fries. It comes with a side of ketchup but I requested ranch. The flavor of the ranch was good but it was runny. The sandwich though was fantastic. Perfect crab cake and large pieces of shrimp for the shrimp salad. Loved everything about this place. The decor, vibes, and service were great! Highly recommend a reservation! Would definitely come back and recommend.

The entire experience today was a poor one. My drink (a sidecar) was made just okay, not well balanced and too strong. I ordered the restaurant week menu and every item was not good. The lobster pastries were okay but not good. The bbq plate was not tasty. Everything in it was just so ordinary. None of it especially good. The desert (cookie butter cheesecake) was more of a parfait and unforgettable too. Food took a long time to come out and so did our check. The server graciously removed the entree from the bill but charged me a la carte for the app and dessert. Overall, the meal quality was akin to very expensive applebees, and our server wasn't very attentive. The whole experience turned me off. I can't remember the last time I've had a meal that was not worth eating. I'll never go back and I'll certainly never recommend it to anyone. Our server was so hard to flag down, I didn't even bother adding anything to remake my drink. The music playlist was great though, although hearing hip hop from 2005 was jarring in a place like this. The other patrons did not appreciate the music enough for me.

Service was good. ~190 dollars (including tip) for their restaurant week menu for two people and one cocktail each. Dishes seemed like were made with cheap ingredients and didn't have much flavor. Dessert was disappointing. The cheesecake I got was in a cup and more like a parfait. The sweet potato pie was overdone and dry. Girlfriend just scraped out the filling and ate that. The "ragu" in the lamb neck "ragu" was basically flavorless and did not taste meaty. Charcuterie pie was a cold flatbread and we left the bread part because it was dry. The best part of the meal was probably the ramen carbonara. Drinks were ok. Not worth the price. Was pretty disappointed because I usually really enjoy this place and have been here several times. Not sure what has changed or if the restaurant week menu was just a miss.

Went for happy hour and then most recently brunch. The happy hour menu food wise looks amazing. Unfortunately only tried the big 'ol mozzarella stick, which was just as cheesy as I've heard. Would love a slightly bigger drink selection, but was super happy with an old fashioned. For brunch, we had a mix of breakfast and lunch options. The complimentary donut holes are a sweet touch.

Second time coming here and it won't be the last! I went here for my birthday last year and was so pleased that we decided to come for Valentine's Day. Nothing short of exceptional. We sat at the bar this time and everything came out in orderly fashion. Big enough portions to share and just an authentic flavor in every dish. We were the first ones there when they opened at 4pm and it was packed by the time we wanted to leave. The only thing I would say is that when it does get super busy and people are waiting for seats at the bar they act like vultures crowding around and staring you down till you leave. But that's not really on them so 5 stars anyway!

4.5I've been to The Food Market many times and would have gone more times, but wasn't willing to wait through a dinner time blitz. The food and ambiance there are always amazing. This is one of the few restaurants where I've enjoyed shrimp and grits. I usually sit at the bar, but table seating is nice too, especially on a date or in a group. I keep to the bar tho, as to observe, lol.My last visit I had the chorizo hash, which was very very good. I also had a few High Noons. Payment was a breeze and soon I was on my way. Not a bad late lunch.

The Food Market is a staple in Baltimore. It is always SO packed. My girl friends and I shared some food and drinks out during the holidays and had a great night. The food came out SO quick but the drinks did take a while. I thought the menu was veggie friendly and unique. Great dinner spot!

Stopped in with a friend for some happy hour vibes and boy were we impressed! We had a great time! Enjoyed delicious food and drinks, and even acquired some knowledge about Sydney, Australia since that's where our bartender was from! I'm forgetting her name but she was very sweet and she made my 2 drinks amazing each time! The food was really good and I felt they had a really nice HH menu with ample offerings. Items are 1:1 so the $2 for the pretzel with cheese fondue was literally for 1 pretzel but it was a great size! My favorites were the pretzels and the pork tacos! We also tried the fried mozzarella and the fried pickles. Taco and pretzel definitely was the highlight for me! Service was excellent, friendly, and I'd most definitely return. While it was pretty empty when we got there at 4, the place was packed by the time we left around 6:30ish!
