The Cut Bar & Restaurant

Upon first glance, it looks like a hole in the wall and we (party of 5) nearly missed the door entrance. Inside, the front of the room is the bar area with a few small bar table seating while the back is more accommodating for larger parties.The waitress and staff were very nice and helpful with drink suggestions. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and they were my favorite part of the experience. Nice and crunchy on the outside but a hot and smooth melting string of cheese on the inside. I ordered the fried shrimp platter, which came with fries and coleslaw, and everything was delicious. All of my co-workers enjoyed their meals and commented that the drinks were good as well.

I came here one night with my husband - we were bored and just wanted to find somewhere cool to hang out. This is both a hang out spot and a chill restaurant at once with some of the best old-school-jams playing in the background. If you wanna watch sports, they have it. It's chill - drinks and service are great and the crowd is grown - everything we were looking for. It feels like a night in - no pressure to dress up, music not too loud so you don't have to scream in each other's ears just to have a conversation and the food was good. If you're looking for chill, laid back vibes... this is the spot.

It's chill, drinks strong, food good. Older crowd for sure but good energy and nothing special. Very casual, wish they had weekend happy hour

The dj was great but the food and drinks were not worth the price. Everything was served to go. Firstly, they served mixed drinks in the smallest cups I ever seen. That's for shots. Yet, they charged full price. But other patrons were served regular cups. The food was not hot. I was told the sauce on the wings is on the side. It's like airplane food. I will not go back.

A cool little spot to grab a few good drinks and some bar snacks in... "the cut," as it's so appropriately named. This no frills dive bar and restaurant is one of my favorite late night spots in the Waldorf neighborhood. They make a great fish sandwich with French fries, fried shrimp basket, fish bites or hush puppies you can munch on while watching the game. The Taco Tuesday specials are usually pretty tasty and the music is always a good mix. I like that they stay open later than a lot of places in the area and some nights they do karaoke, too. The strawberry Hennessys are always poured great and the staff has always been warm & welcoming. This place is one of my favorite 2022 black owned business finds...

This is a place that gets it. Beer is cold and the food is good. Wings and fried shrimp on point. My favorite place to go on a sat night for a quick bite and some beers to watch the game. Great non chain place in Waldorf is a breath of fresh air.

"Cheers" bar ambiance in southern maryland. Food is fairly good but it's mainly the AMI Janice that captivates you: they do karaoke on Fridays and the drinks are good. Bartenders could be more attentive though

3.5 stars- I really like the food here. The wings, fries, fish bites, and beyond burger are all really good. You have to try their Mo-Mo sauce. The prices are great and the food is good quality. The place is nice and clean. The music is good not too loud and not too low. The crowd has always been decent and well behaved. The employees are one of the bright spots here. They are friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Before I even had their food, the young lady who greeted and seated us, had won me over. The drinks though... I have been unable to finish. Most people appreciate a healthy pour, me too but good grief It was so strong it was like drinking fire water. I thought I ordered a shot with a splash of lemon and not a margarita. I know this may be just specific to me, but I actually like my drinks to be well balanced. I don't want to have a single drink and still have to sit there with a Gingerale. 30 minutes after I finished because the first drink drink has me on my @)$$. I'd like to sit and engage with my friends, or whoever else may be in the bar, eat a little more or have another drink. It's a social thing. Either way, I'll be back.

Poor quality food, service and ambiance... the food taste like it was bought from the freezer section and quickly heated up - no lie - go ahead and get the hush puppies from Food Lion and compare for yourself. Service is slow and they don't seem interested. Hole in the wall feel if you're into that, which can be cool sometimes but it lacks the friendliness that usually comes with that.

Great restaurant. It wasn't crowded and the meal and drinks came pretty fast. Professional and personable host. I'd go back!
