This is my first time at the factory location. I've been to the Charmery location on the Avenue in Hampden. This location is part of the union collective. The Charmery is known for super fun flavors that can be hyper specific to Baltimore, on my most recent visit, I went for their immersive movie experience. I got served an ad on Instagram and I'm so glad I did because they have a whole Harry Potter series and this is the fourth year so we watch the fourth movie - Goblet of Fire. The staff really put so much effort into this immersive experience - I will say the amount of popcorn was a dismal and really disappointing, but soon went away when I realized there was a whole school of snacks and experiences to come. Think water splashing at you, bubbles, dragons, fire! I really loved their ice cream and the campy experience of this movie. There were children there, but I did appreciate that they had the kids sit in the front and the adults in the back so it was a pretty seamless experience. I didn't realize how big the space was so they set up chairs and had an aisle and I'm pretty sure you can tour the ice cream factory on other days.

This is my favorite Charmery location because of the decorations (wrestlers and old stuff baby) and the fact that you can sort of see all that goes into making their ice cream. My same appreciations and concerns exist for here as the other locations. My family has never had problems finding a flavor they like. The waffle cones are fresh, the rotating flavors are adventurous, samples are available and you can pick up pints to go. They have a rewards program you can join and prices are comparable to other small batch ice cream places. Like the Towson location, this one has ample seating available and is very spacious. No matter how long the line, I don't feel like I am up in anyone's business. My concerns are the vegan options. While their vegan ice cream is really good, I find that it lacks the inventiveness of their normal flavors. They also have so few options. There is usually a plain chocolate version (or chocolate chip or cookies and cream) and a fruity sorbet and, well, that's about it. In summary: decor is good, spacious place with inventive (or even not inventive) handcrafted ice cream. Good vegan ice cream in typical flavors, though not many options. If you want vegan options and unique vegan flavors, there are better places to check out in the area.

I've been to the other Charmery location many many times. This place has all the same flavors and the same screen menus and everything but they have a lot more seating space and I think this would be a great place to take kids. The ice cream is good but pretty expensive. A waffle cone with ice cream is like over $10 so be aware. Even the kiddie scoop in a cup is pricey. Is it worth it? I guess if you can afford it.

Ice cream, check. Delicious, check. Affordable, check. What more can you want? It was simply yummy ice cream with really interesting flavor choices. Saffron olive oil? Chocolate with French fries? So bold and daring. I got two scoops. One was chocolate mud and the other was salty caramel. Creamy and full of flavor. If your craving ice cream this is the place to go.

This was my first time at The Charmery Ice Cream Factory! They serve ice cream on a cone or a cup, brownie sundaes, cold brew shakes, root beer floats and shakes, chocolate soda, hand crafted marshmallows, and sorbet smoothies. They currently have 16 flavors to pick from, two of which are vegan. I knew that Saturday Morning Cartoons (Frosted Flakes based with Lucky Charms marshmallows) would be too sweet for me. I had a hard time deciding between Old Bay Caramel and Mint Mountain (mint chip with Andes Mint) Ice Cream. Since we were about to go for a hike through Patapsco State Park, I decided to get the latter. If you like mint, I highly recommend this flavor!

What a wonderful place! It's ice cream. You really can't go wrong with ice cream. The Charmery is located in the Union Collective. On weekends, it seems like parking is pretty difficult to find if you don't get there early. It's a large area with a big parking lot, but because it's located inside the Union Collective, there are other shops and stores that The Charmery shares a parking lot with. That said, we parked along the street in a neighborhood nearby, as we saw many others doing. When we went, the Apple Festival was also happening, so other places in the Union Collective were having cool specials or events.Although it was really freezing cold, there were still lots of people getting ice cream. I guess it doesn't matter what time of year it is, it's always ice cream season! There's plenty of seating and some cool seasonal props that you can take photos with. Being all festive and stuff, we got the apple cider sorbet, which was dairy-free! Although they didn't have any gluten-free cones, they had sugar cone and waffle cone options available. They also had cups if you prefer that instead. The apple cider sorbet tasted exactly as it sounds--like frozen apple cider. I love the seasonal flavors! Definitely a great spot to grab dessert or a sweet treat (as they have more than just ice cream). Highly recommend trying the seasonal flavors!

Love, love love The Charmery. This place has quickly become a surprise as we know all our boys 3 young boys will be super excited. We love going here so much. What the Charmery has going on with their creativity in new ice cream flavors (seasonal) and original (Banana Basil anyone?) and even ones they are testing. It's like a craft beer place, but ice cream, love it. The name of flavors connect with the community is such a fun spin on going to get ice cream. The Charmery also have some really cool events we love (such as the New Years Eve Ball Drop). I tried the Ice Cream Sandro yesterday and the flavor was so full of tasty goodness. Raspberry Lemonade, Vanilla Chip and Maryland Mud were other flavors we tried and enjoyed all of them. There are tables in this facility and the staff is great and friendly, super kind. They also have an old truck for the kids to climb and pretend to drive in and some cool contest and things that make going to get ice cream new and exciting and not just another visit. All their ice cream is made right here in this location, so it's freshness is so smooth and creamery. Plus, this location is great, because you can intermingle the different vendors in this warehouse, so you can get a beer (from Union Brewery) and ice cream or coffee (Vent Roasters) and ice cream. All in all the Charm of the Charmery will win you over for life and make you a big fan. We for sure have become big fans.

Hours are incorrectly listed. Google maps says open until 11 so we went at 9:30. The door said they closed at 9 but it was unlocked so we went in but we're told they were closed.
