The Charmery Hampden

I'm thrilled the weather is improving because that means the return of a favorite warm-weather pastime: going to the Charmery after an early evening meal and window shopping. Make no mistake - I am known to enjoy a scoop of mint mountain year round. I don't need an excuse. It's not easy to put in words, but there's something ceremonial and sacred to me about the scent of freshly pressed waffle cones leading me down the Ave on a sunset stroll. The Charmery is integral to my joy as a Baltimore resident.

The old bay caramel is hands-down my favorite flavor that I have ever gotten at an ice cream shop. It's perfect for anyone who loves salty and sweet, but the Charmery takes it to the next level with how complex the old bay is. Highly highly recommend!

Cute ice cream shop! Located in busy Hampden. Parking could be tricky. I snagged a spot a few blocks away. There's not really any seating inside.On a hot summer day, the place was packed. It was my first time here, but i got a good recommendation. They let you sample, and I was curious about the old bay caramel - it was different but not for me. I settled on the salty caramel. I liked it, but it melted way too quickly! Prices aren't terrible.

Came back during another visit to the area, to experience more flavors. It's a trio of Thai Tea, Razuzu (pairing of raspberry and yuzu juice), and Ginger. The flavors of the first two flavors weee very nice, but the ginger could use more intensity. It's a favorite stop for the locals and visitors alike.

Perfect for the heat. Service was okay, workers seemed over it. + Double Kiddie Scoop ($6.79): Tell tale chocolate and roasted strawberry, chocolate was rich and melted quicker (7.5/10), while strawberry had a deeper flavor (7/10). I preferred the chocolate but enjoyed this combo.

Oh, Charmery. As many times as we come to Hampden I try to avoid you because of the delicious ice cream-- so dangerous!Two of us stopped here last night in search of some of the best since cream in Baltimore. I got the PBJ ice cream (raspberry jelly) with rainbow sprinkles (because life is short) and this was truly a transcendental experience.Thank you, Charmery on the Avenue in Hampden for consistently providing such rich and creamy comfort food. Served with a color-changing spoon, this is indeed ice cream paradise.

This is a cute ice cream shop in Baltimore, I like the coconut chocolate swirl vegan ice cream. Service is often fast and smooth. The vibes are cute and homey, but there is limited in-door seating.

Great icecream, delicious flavors and very refreshing on a hot day!! The two flavors we got (roasted strawberries and orange icicle) were creative and delicious!

What a fun and cute ice cream shop. We are in town visiting family and our sister-in-law recommended this spot and it was a hit. They have so many flavors and you can try what you want. We ended up getting strawberry, mint chocolate chip and chocolate chip. So good and creamy. The servers were friendly. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Yum! This place is great. They have a ton of really unique flavors that were so fun to try. The prices and sizes were good. They had vegan options too which was awesome.
