The place was packed and it seems that we knew someone at every other table. I felt like we were at a church dinner or a family dinner. Inde

Local diner I got to try out while in town for work!Ambiance: Small town quiet diner with a great selection. Very casual and friendly, easy to get to. Metered parking on the street or in a small lot across the street. Ordered lunch for pickup and was ready when I needed it!Price: Great price/quantityOrdered: BLT on toasted RyePros: Great food, great cost, timely, and extremely friendly. What more can I ask for! Their BLT is all I ordered for 3 days for my team at a nearby construction site and we just kept coming back, but definitely wish I tried some of their other options. Cons: One tiny thing I have to note, the coffee pot in the back tasted better than the coffee pot in the front. Not a deal breaker for me, it may have well been the late lunch coffee I got since it was the last cup. Overall: Hole in the wall dining spots like these are the ones I love finding when I travel. This is surely my go to spot when I'm back in the area!

Updated to acknowledge improvements to the food and service that I had previously noted were needing work. This is now one of our favorite spots for Sunday breakfast!

Been several years since eating here due to CoVid & being 80+; one of few places with edible food, even rabbit at times. Nice people; a little out of the way, but likely worth the excursion. Even a little history in the area. Going here again. Went to Inner Harbor McCormick last night ($300+) that was great years ago but now a lousy 2 out of 5! Edd.

I have the grilled Rachel Rubin, side was coleslaw and stewed tomatoes and it was excellent. Service was very attentive multiple waiters asking what they can do for you very helpful it's like an old style country place. Has old fashioned plates on the wall. Ambient lighting simple tables great service. Even like the coffee black it was really good.

Great service everyone was tentative and friendly. Food was okay. We had the fried chicken 2 piece, mashed potatoes and green beans. We also had the soft shell platter (which I would not get again) with Mac and cheese. Husband tried the hummingbird cake but wasn't a fan. The chocolate silk pie was yummy.

4/25/24 we were on our way back to Hanover, PA from Woodsboro, MD so you know there's no where to eat. We mapped ourselves the back way and found d this cute restaurant. Our food was delicious (soup, fresh mashed potatoes, rabbit sausage). We will definitely be back. This is a hidden gem. Wait time was a little long but it was worth it.

My wife and I and another couple ate at The Buttersburg Inn yesterday. A husband and wife bought this restaurant from long time owners who started the restaurant in 2002. The food was delicious and service was excellent. We started with the corn fritters which were very tasty. My wife loved her chicken salad on top of salad greens. I enjoyed my turkey dinner with green beans and cucumber and onion salad. Our friends loved their fried catfish and club sandwich. But the amazing part of the meal were our homemade desserts which included a slice of carrot cake, chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and ice cream sundae.I only wish I had taken some pictures. We will definitely be coming back.
