That's So Morie Cupcakes

Cookies were smushed (apparently she didn't allow them to cook long enough) and sloppy.The cookie with my daughter's name was strange with the periods and exclamation point. Not what I asked! It was as if she made the name to small and needed to fill in the blank space with something. She offered and agreed to remake a half dozen (which we were counting on). She later changed her mind and refunded me the money for the order. The damage how ever was done, it was my daughter's first birthday and we wanted everything to be perfect. This Caused unnecessary stress the day before the party.I do not recommend.

I wish I could give this business no stars!! I contacted them about an order for a baby shower and she said she would call me. Well she never contacted me again. I tried emailing her but got no response. Certainly not a way to stay in business!!

Ok, I don't even know where to begin....Let's start off with the fact that I found That's So Morie thanks to a Google search. I contacted Morie by email late in the evening and within a few hours she had responded. She was able to fill my specialty order at the last minute and pulled it off wonderfully!Now, let's talk cupcakes! These cupcakes were amazing!! The "apple of my eye" was extraordinary!! The detail that she put into them is unlike any other...the little apple bits inside the actual cupcake, a wonderful surprise!Now, Morie was kind enough to bake a flavor that is not on her menu at my request. The "pineapple upside down cake".....with the pineapple on the bottom...yeah, I know, typical for an full size cake but definitely pleasantly surprised to find one on the bottom of the cupcake!I am so glad to have found That's So Morie and will definitely be referring her to my clients, friends, family and colleagues. She pulled through in a pinch on a last minute request with all of the love that only a homemade dessert could offer and I am so grateful!

I was impressed with the menu of flavors on the website. Ordered peach cupcakes with brown sugar cream cheese frosting and a dusting of cinnamon. DELICIOUS. So, so good. We ordered a dozen cupcakes for a very small family dinner, so we had leftovers the next day. They only got better. :) I can't wait until the next time I get to order cupcakes from Lamorea.

I contacted Lamorie a couple weeks ago for a wedding shower this past Sunday. The location was in Columbia, MD so I was looking for a baker in that area that would deliver. I placed an order for 3 dozen cupcakes (not frosted) and 2 dozen cake pops to be delivered on Sunday morning. I paid the 50% deposit via credit card and asked her if I could pay the remaining balance on Sunday when I arrived back in town. I told her that I would be traveling from PA that morning...she told me that was fine. I gave her my friend's name, number and address and of course she already had my information. On my way down to MD, my friend calls me to tell me that the cupcakes were delivered and that she had to pay for it. Apparently, Lamorie went to deliver the cupcakes and said that she needed the money before she delivered the cupcakes. I was annoyed - the cupcakes were my responsibility and I was under the impression that the arrangement had been finalized. Why could she not call me on the phone if this was not the case?? I checked my email when I got home and saw two emails that she sent on Sunday morning...when she knew I was traveling...it blows my mind that she could not pick up the phone and call me. As a business owner, that doesn't seem like the right way to handle the situation. I felt like she thought I was going to rip her off and not pay the remaining balance...it was $55...it won't make or break me. She also had my credit card number from the deposit...she did not have to put my friend in the position to pay for it. When I get there and look at the cupcakes...what a freaking disaster. If you look at the pictures that I uploaded...the cupcakes looked horrible! The cupcakes were uneven...some were cracked...they were all just stuffed in a box without dividers (and placed in the box w/o proper cooling) so they were sticking together. She also placed all 24 cake pops in the box with the chocolate cupcakes - and since the cupcakes weren't properly cooled, there was chocolate smudges on the pink ribbons and the white cake pop sticks. C'mon, you couldn't just stick the cake pops in an old, plastic Safeway bag??The cake pops were decent...the only bad thing was the chocolate smudges on the ribbons and sticks! I totally feel like I got JIPPED with this place. If I had been there, I would not have accepted the cupcakes and asked her for a refund. I will NEVER order from this place again...and I will not recommend this place to anyone that needs baked goods. You would probably be better off either baking them yourself (out of the Betty Crocker box) or ordering from your grocery store.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!! Everything she makes is so delicious and beautifully decorated! The communication via email is super easy and responsive too. I recently had some wedding shower cookies delivered to me all the way in Southern California and I was very happy with the product. The cookies arrived individually wrapped, each one was intact, and they tasted very fresh! All my guests loved them! Can't wait to order for my next party! Thank you so much!

extremely frustrated! spoke with the owner a month and a half ago to order a dozen of cupcakes for my birthday. I was to pick them up on 2/20/23. contacted a week prior twice by email and by phone several times to arrange a pick up time. No response at all. The order was actually a tasting to prepare for my wedding in October. extremely disappointed! Do not recommend.

That's So Morie made cupcakes for our small wedding last summer. They were delicious and gorgeous! We got 4 different flavors and each was a hit. We asked Lamorea if she could somehow decorate two of the cupcakes to stand out for my then fiancé and I. She did, and the pedals on two of the cupcakes were perfect :) We froze a couple cupcakes and look forward to eating on our 1 year anniversary next month. Pick up was easy and the prices are very reasonable. Lamorea was also extremely responsive. Would definitely order from that's So Morie again!

Never got any cupcakes from here, but the customer service didn't even answer a simple question for me: "are the cupcakes peanut free." I was simply shut down by the lady saying that they could only take special orders and proceeded to avoid my question.

I emailed Lamorea asking for custom cake pops about 2 weeks before my wedding to be used as cake toppers. Even with the tight schedule, small order (I ordered a total of 4), and specific request - she was able to make the cake pops and they were PERFECT!Lamorea was very professional and quick to respond in all emails sent between us. She seemed very willing to try the custom design I requested, as opposed to other bakers who were very hesitant about the idea. Also, she was the only baker (out of 7 who I emailed) who responded quickly and showed great enthusiasm for my idea.The value is beyond compare for me. Other bakers quoted me as much as 7 times her price/pop. No joke.She was very flexible as well. Something came up and I was unable to pick the pops up at the scheduled time, I emailed Lamorea earlier in the week requesting that I pick up the pops earlier in the day, and she was able to do it.The cake pops were exactly as I had described. And when it came time to eat the cake pops - they were delicious!Honestly, Lamorea is phenomenal! She's professional, talented, flexible, offers great prices, and amazingly tasty cake pops. I will definitely be ordering from her again in the future.
