Tea Top

Tea Top is my usual go-to tea spot if I'm in the E.C. area -Their drink menu is pretty extensive, offering traditional teas, milk foam and cheese foam teas, matcha, milk and fresh milk teas, fruit teas, lemon and yogurt teas, slushies, and even snacks if you have the munchies (such as coconut shrimp, veggies with rice, chicken fried steak, popcorn chicken, etc.).I had the Yogurt Orange and the Passion Fruit Black Tea - both were okay, but the tea tasted slightly bitter and the drink itself was a bit watered down.Ordering the teas via their kiosks were super convenient; once your items are done, the staff will call out your number.Staff here are very kind and friendly, and there are a handful of seating inside; the decorations are super cute, especially the hanging 'lightning' clouds!Plenty of parking in the large plaza lot.+inconsistent tea drinks+friendly service+seating available+plenty of parking

Went there because my friend said it's the best Taiwanese style braised pork rice in the area, and of course I have to try it, I ordered the one with vegetables and I would advise to get the one without the vegetables(It was just cabbage and it's like they cooked it in vinegar or some sort--it tasted a bit sour), I was expecting it to be stir fried with garlic or just steamed. Otherwise, the pork and the egg were pretty authentic.The bubble tea was decent as well, lots of choices in terms of the flavors and toppings, also tried the savory tangyuan, it was not my favorite but kudos for them for just having the choice. At the end of the day I would recommend the fried chicken or the braised pork over rice for this place.

This restaurant looks very clean and esthetic which I enjoyed. Plenty of seating for people to sit down and enjoy. They do have to board games by the floral wall which seems like a great idea! The flavor of the matcha latte was good but not amazing. I did love that there was a ton of boba (I did pay extra for more) and the red bean was good too! I definitely want to come back and try the taro milk tea with sago!

Cute bubble tea cafe with fun decor and a variety of food menu as well. Ordered the butterfly blue sky milk tea and popcorn nuggets. The butterfly milk tea was not that great and tasted more like milk with little butterfly tea flavor. However, the popcorn chicken was really good. It was well seasoned and crispy, the perfect snack when hanging out friends or playing one of the many board games they have in the store. Definitely a nice place to just talk and chill. The food and drinks came out pretty fast. I would come back to try their other bubble tea flavors and food options

Love this bubble tea spot because of their ambiance, and their Taiwanese fried chicken are delicious! This establishment is clean and tidy. The staff are friendly. :)

Tea Top has been on my top to do list for a while! It did NOT disappoint. I ordered mango green tea, butterfly blue sky, alpine rose & jasmine green tea. The location is charming and has board games and tables for customers to enjoy if staying. Well lit, the staff was friendly and I was grateful that I wasn't pressured to getting more than 30% sugar in any of the order. I can definitely see why this Top Tea location is popular. The butterfly blue sky? Wonderful! Butterfly pea tea is calming so if you need or want a "chill pill" order any of the butterfly tea options. The mango green tea was also very tasty ( if you have a sensitive palate, you'll taste the nuances and depth). I think I would have enjoyed the mango green tea even more with zero sugar. If you are a snacker, they have good options for that as well. If you love quality tea, add this spot to your list.

I love coming here for boba. Tea Top has the best boba and ambience in Ellicott City. I enjoy coming here to catch up with friends or to spend some time by myself to unwind with a book. In the month of February, Tea Top has a Valentine's Alpine rose green tea special. It's light, refreshing and has just the right hint of rose. It's perfect to treat yourself or share with your love. A special shout out to the staff for recommending this. I'm officially a fan of rose tea. I'll be back for more!

Dropped by for dessert after lunch in the Ellicott City area. Located in a relatively spacious sized strip mall with plenty of parking. We tried their Signature Alpine Green Milk Tea and Lychee Slush.Signature Alpine Green Milk Tea 4/5: Good tea flavor, I appreciate that you can taste the green tea quality and it's not overwhelming with the sugar and creamer. Definitely a different green tea than the ones you get at other boba chains. Personally I don't like my drinks too sweet so 50% sugar and light ice was perfect. Their boba was chewy and sweetened but overall felt a little mushy in texture.Lychee Slush3/5 Lychee flavor comes out but a little artificial tasting overall. Would recommend trying another flavor, perhaps one of their signature slushes.Location was nice, they had a variety of tables for people to sit at and some board games on the side. They do have a number of Taiwanese dishes on the menu. They also have a drink/food combos such as their Taiwanese popcorn chicken which I want to try next time.

Clean. Always friendly, generous service. 100% recommend. We've come here a number of times and ordered tea - best boba around. Today we ordered tea and also the curry. Both were enjoyed by myself and my almost 2yr old. Plus - they have games and beautiful decor, which my daughter always loves
