Tasty Maryland Food Truck

I attended an Arts Festival this weekend and discovered the Tasty Maryland food truck. The menu was good, so I ordered the Crab Cake Caesar wrap. The wrap was tasty and full of Caesar flavor. Another plus was that I could see and taste authentic crab cake. It wasn't a huge wrap or crab cake, but the flavor and presentation made up for where the portion lacked. With that said, I was satiated after eating the entire wrap that was cut into two portions, so I guess it was enough. I also tasted a few Old Bay fries; they were good. The service was good. I liked that the truck provided a coaster pager while we waited, which allowed us to continue walking around the festival until the food was ready. The food was available for pickup in less than 15 minutes.

We stopped by this truck in Odenton because the prices seemed reasonable, but the food ended up being inedible. My boyfriend's cheeseburger looked like a mushy grey brick- no charring or grill marks, no meat texture. The fries were cold, soggy, and greasy. I saw other reviews mentioning the fries are air fried, and I wonder if that's hot they cooked the burger as well.The employees seemed nice, but if this many people are giving the same feedback, clearly something needs to change.

First of all I hate to leave mediocre reviews especially when the hard working people at this food truck were so nice. I got the crab cake sandwich for $12. What I got wasn't the worst but definitely nowhere near the top 10 of crab cakes. First of all the sandwich tasted flat. There was no textural difference. Everything was soft. The crab cake itself had no flavor. I would highly recommend Old Bay Seasoning or any seasoning. It is all crab meat but having no filler makes the sandwich very squishy. You gotta have something to bind it together. I also got the $9 chili nachos which reminded me of the nachos you get at the ballpark. Really salty and cheesy. I believe the cheese is the infamous Velveeta cheese. You know I'm not knocking it but $9 is a lot to pay for this type of nacho. Overall it wasn't the worst food truck food but I couldn't honestly say I would be back.

Got the crabby cone and limeade. Both were fine, but nothing spectacular. The fries are done in an air fryer, which is okay, but nothing compares to the crispiness and touch of fat from deep frying the potatoes. The topping of crab dip was pretty good. It is tricky to eat if you are trying to also hold a drink or put the food down for a second (cone).I love limeade and found this one lacking in, well, lime. It was there, but it was sort of the LaCroix of limeade.The folks are friendly and the prices decent.

I have visited Tasty Maryland Food Truck on 2 occasions, and will continue to do so. Their Shrunken Mariner (a 5oz crab cake in a bowl of cream of crab soup) is amazing. I love it!!! Their kettle chips are awesome, too.I highly recommend visiting Tasty Maryland Food Truck.

On 8/29/24 I visited the Odenton firehouse. This was my first time, they were friendly. I purchased the crabcake, fries and orangeade for $23. I was very disappointed it wasn't worth it. The crabcake was okay had better, fries were greasy and not acceptable to serve. The drink tasted like orange water and not a drop of lemonade.I hope they improve.

Maybe the worst food I've ever "attempted" to eat. Ordered crab cake and fries. Fries were a nasty ball of grease. We couldn't even pick them up bc they were so saturated and soaked together. The crabcake was actually inedible. I got it close to my face to take a bite and a pungent smell hit me. Like something rotten. I tried again and same. I tossed the entire $16 meal in the trash. Disgusting! Additionally, advertised one price on their menu board and charged $3 more than that! I felt taken after the entire experience. DO NOT choose this nasty truck even if "advertised" prices look more appealing.

I ordered their burger with fresh pesto salad meal, which didn't even include a drink for $12.00The burger seemed to be the frozen type and the bacon they used was bacon bits. The burger would crumble into as you bit into it, and the American cheese was cold. The salad was really small (same size as the sides from Chipotle)I would have been happier with a Wendy's $5 lunch meal, and I'd had gotten a drink with it.I actually never finished the meal, because I tossed it in the trash, something I don't like doing, but I wasn't going to be able to eat it.

delicious food, great service. i hired this truck for my party on 8/4 and they were so responsive. everyone raved about their food. We would hire them again in a heartbeat!

In response not matter how you cooked it, the burgers were gray with white spots and tasted like metal. No way they were fresh. Definitely NOT fresh. Nothing was seasoned, and nothing tasted good. 8 people from our office got different things and it was so bad the manager just ordered us pizza. I hate when places blame the customer for not coming back with the trash. We don't have all day and for what you charge it should have been good in the first place. It was worse than school lunch. All the ingredients were cheap, nothing was fresh, or flavorful. Regardless of how you cook your fries they were cheap and disgusting as well. For the price you should be using fresh potatoes and frying them in grease, who wants them air fried? They were soggy. The crab cake was flavorless and soggy and if you don't use fillers, it sure tasted like it. Maybe it was the complete lack of seasoning. Nothing was worth the price. Do better for your customers instead of trying to correct "assumptions". The only thing we did wrong was not reading the reviews first because they are bad overall.
