The basmati rice. Yum.
Chicken Roast (2p) Pulao
Their selection of menu items has increased, including more veggie options, which is what I'd like to see. The meat is Halal too.

The fresh naan. Too die for.
The fresh and generous side salad.
The Chicken Kabab.
The fabulous curried chickpeas. I loved them.

Taste of Kabab is a new restaurant that serves Indian food and Kababs. My dining partner was craving kababs and so we gave them a try. The people who work there couldn't have been nicer. They even gave us some of their chicken soup to try. It was very good, but had a generous amount of pepper. We ordered chicken kababs which came with basmati rice and curried chickpeas. Those chickpeas were addicting. They were delicious, with just the right balance of curry sauce and a mild spice level. They also give you fresh naan with your order. The bread was warm and freshly made. It was really tasty. We also ordered a side salad. It was a generous amount and the ingredients were really fresh. I had enough for 2 meals. The basmati rice was incredibly enticing. I couldn't stop eating it. It was so satisfying. The kabab was good, but different than we expected. Instead of chunks of chicken meat, The chicken is marinated in yogurt and spices. Then, it is ground and formed into the kabab shape. The restaurant has a vegetarian menu and even a breakfast menu. So, as they say, variety is the spice of life. They are very close by and I am sure that I will return, especially to fix my curried chickpea cravings. Thank you, Taste of Kabab!

Ordered the beef kabobs to go. They were so dry and tasteless, as though they forgot to add in the spices. The rice had no flavor, either, seemed like it was just rice, not the typical basmati rice you get a kabob place. Am going back to Moby Dick and Grill Kabob for kabobs. The service was , however, very pleasant, and the naan ( 2 huge pieces) was good.

I was a little skeptical going into this place because it seemed deserted. The staff was genuinely kind and walked me through the different options. I went with Biryani chicken with rice and salad. Great choice! The food was flavorful, nicely seasoned and filling. I had no need for salt on anything. I added the yogurt sauce which is a nice touch to cool the spicy in the dish. Prices are reasonable and the dish can serve two people. Seating is small but it wasn't busy. If you can, stop here.

As a Bengali who has had chicken roast and pulao at other restaurants, this was absolutely the worst roast I've ever had.I'll start off with the pulao- super stale, you can tell it was not fresh at all.The chicken roast had NO flavor at all. It was not roast in any form. Super bland, no salt, no roast masala. $22 for 2 pieces of chicken is absolutely ridiculous when you know they spent less than 10 min preparing the gravy.I think if they got the radhuni chicken roast masala packet and made the roast it would definitely be better than what they cook at the restaurant lol.Oh we also got 2 orders of the chicken samosas thinking it would be like the ones you get in Dhaka. But these were literally like the frozen ones you get at any Indian Pakistani Bengali grocery store. Not even close to any type of Bengali samosa. We were so excited to see a Bengali restaurant open up and had such high expectations but we were totally disappointed and definitely will not be back to waste money.

Just a terrible meal. Everything tasted old. The lassi was off, the kebabs dry, the beef stew near spoiled, the chickpeas just seemed like they had been prepared a week ago. There are so many better options for this kind of food in Rockville. Too bad, the menu was promising.

Just had lunch with the family. We were all disappointed. The food was very oily and expensive for the quality. The guy at the cash register said that the food was fresh but it was either frozen or from the refrigerator. They did not even heat it properly. The chicken was cold inside. Bad service to top it all. We will not recommend it.

Got chicken kabab with rice, beef kabab with rice, and chicken roast pulao! Great portions -- our meals came out with a lot of protein, rice, side salads, chickpeas, and sauces! Left the restaurant very full & with a good amount of leftovers for later. Service was great as well! The owners were very welcoming and friendly & our food came out very fast! The establishment was very clean and had a free water station. There are lots of great other options, so I will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu!

Restaurant was very clean, but it was more of an Indian/Pakistani restaurant than a kebab restaurant. Nan was very good, samosas were tasty. Main courses a bit weak. Know that their version of kabobs are all ground meat, whether chicken or beef. Beef kabob was not at all what was expected, the vegetarian dish looked like it was frozen succotash with potatoes and some spices. Overall, a disappointment.
