This is actually a food truck, situated in the Exxon gas station parking lot on West St, just before the entrance ramp to 50W, almost directly across from Uncle Julio's.Food trucks have been making a big impact on dining options all over the metropolitan area for a few years now, some really good, some not so much. In my opinion, this truck falls in the former category.I'm a big fan of authentic Mexican food, tacos in particular and I have a few brick and mortar restaurants that I've reviewed over the years that are anywhere from excellent to really good. I can't recall ever having had a bad one, but as with all other things, there are varying degrees of greatness. One-off spots tend to do it a bit better than the chain ones (like Taco Bamba). I feel like this particular food truck does them very well. I like to order a variety, just because the tastes are so different yet so very good - usually its one beef, one chicken and one pork. My usual taco order is a carne asada, pollo and a carnitas. My wife prefers the chorizo over the carnitas but will usually get the other two the same as me. We've been back three times and each time the taste and quality have been the same, so I consider them to be very consistent, which is important if you want repeat customers, right? The location leaves a little to be desired, if only because its a gas station lot but you spend very little time there unless you eat your food there. There are picnic tables lining the area in front of the counter should you decide to. Plenty of people do, especially when the weather's nice. All in all, if you find yourself in the area looking for a quick bite, look no further. The service is fast, the food is good and it isn't expensive. They have other offerings which I just assume are as good, I just go there for the tacos. I've been known to stop there even after having eaten if I get a taste for them. You know how it is!

This truck is located right on West St at an Exxon parking lot, right before you turn right into 50 (West and Jennifer) I cannot lie; there are some suspicious characters at this gas station sometimes, but so far, they keep to themselves and at the gas station area. Parking is an issue; I suggest calling ahead to pick up if you order during busy hours (lunch/dinner). I like sitting on the benches and enjoying the breeze when I can. The food was good. The meathead taco was well seasoned. The food presentation was excellent. The birria tacos were good, but I felt the consomé was missing flavor due to the meat. Still good eats.

Place is a rip off. Ordered tacos. Right on their menu it's listed as $3 each. I ordered 2 and a coke. Total is over $13. I ask him why it's so much. Tacos are now $5 each. They say their menu isn't updated with the new price. Print some new damn menus then. Tons more brick and mortar places got em cheaper.

Bottom line up front - You can eat unhealthy food from McDonalds down the street but for $9 you can have what's in the picture. Based on the pictures this place may have a brick-and-mortar location too but I'm talking about a food truck located in a gas station parking lot corner West and Rt 50 west bound entrance. I'm a taco and burrito snob and an absolute sucker for a food truck. It's so bad that I can't eat a carne asada burrito unless I'm in San Diego. Ordered 3 tacos, one al pastor and two barbacoa. The presentation was excellent for a food truck. Fresh cilantro and finely chopped onions, cucumber, radish, and a vinegar based medium sauce and a tomatillo sauce both with unique homemade flavors. The meat tasted grilled, nicely shredded, and good quality with a little bit of fat to make it silky but not enough to trash the corn tortillas. The meat lacked flavor, no salt, pepper, or other ingredients appeared to have been used during preparation which was shame. Some salt, cummin or south American ingredient would have gone a long way to making this a 5-star review. Don't misunderstand me, I tore this plate up and will stop in again. The lime wedges and radishes were a welcome compliment, as were the cucumbers though a bit past prime and dried in the center. Overall, compliments to the Chefs. Picnic tables out front are inviting and this is a perfect place to stop on the way home from the beach for a respite from traffic. Fill up your tank and the cars all in one spot.
