Taqueria Jalisco Mexican Grill

I'm a big fan of Taqueria Jalisco for lunch! Lunch specials every day of the week are a great deal, and their jamaica (hibiscus) agua fresca is my favorite. My go-tos are the lunch fajitas, street tacos, and enchiladas verdes (although fair warning, they are a little spicier than the enchiladas verdes you might order elsewhere in the area).Service is quick, and food is always hot. It's well decorated, and the booths are comfy. Plentiful parking.

I know.... I know.... A Chimichanga is not an 'authentic' Mexican dish.... Well I was in the mood for one, and I don't care. They did NOT disappoint! It was served fresh and hot! It was presented very well, with friendly service. The price was very reasonable also.My expectations were exceeded. I plan to return to try other dishes sometime soon.

I had the Barbacoa platter. It was far, far too salty. I could not finish.Service was fine, my hard-of-hearing guest was practicing his poor Spanish on the nice waitress. Results were funny.

I'll give five stars but this place uses lard in their beans so there's nothing vegetarian except salad.

Taqueria Jalisco is a hidden gem in Hagerstown. They have the tastiest and most authentic Mexican street tacos that I've had anywhere in western Maryland. The service is always fast and friendly. I've never had a bad meal here. This is THE spot to visit if you're looking for authentic Mexican street tacos. I suggest the al pastor tacos. You can't go wrong with any of their protein options. They offer chicken, steak, birria, barbacoa, lebgua, chorizo, and al pastor, in addition to a variety of authentic salsas.

Had a very nice lunch at very reasonable prices. Had a Chimichanga that was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Excellent authentic Mexican cuisine! No frills store front restaurant. Don't be put off by the somewhat bland store front. The interior decor is as one would expect. The waiter was excellent. We had two different types of chicken enchiladas. One with verde sauce (mild). Taste was exceptional. The other was a red (hot) fire enchiladas. Spicy but not overly so. Second visit today. Exceeded expectations! Added guacamole which was delicious! We will drive out of our way for this place again!

The last two years in a row after shopping at the nearby outlets, my wife and I have dined here and have been very happy with our experience. It's a laid back place with freshly prepared food and attentive service.

The food was good and tasted fresh. The service was alright, not the best, not the worst either. The ambiance was great. It felt closer to a mom and pop restaurant rather than a big chain. Overall we had a great experience and would go again!

Not sure what has changed so much here. It's been about 10-12 months since we've ate here. Used to be our gp to place when in the area. We found the food to not be the same at all. Everything was so bland. From the salsa to the tacos we ordered. The Tortilla chips were almost burnt.The service was not personable at all like it used to be. Just a disappointing visit.
