Taqueria Guadalajara

Dropped in with the spirit of curiosity and was pretty well rewarded. First time here so I went simple with the order--chorizo taco, chicken taco, steak burrito. The tacos were really great--especially the tortillas. The burrito was good, a very fine example of the burrito. The orange-y sauce it came with made it all the better. Not sure I'll order it again, but it encouraged me to come back and try other stuff. The atmosphere reminds me of classic taquerias from back in Houston--simple decor, clean, welcoming. And the service was great--food was done quickly and cheerfully and everything was right. Four stars because I do think there's room for me to be even more impressed as I order more.

I had a craving for tacos, and after doing an online search, came upon this place. I placed an online order and picked it up pretty quickly. I will say the drive up to the restaurant may have you confirming your location on GPS, but everything was ultimately safe and easy to access. As a first-timer, I wanted to order a few different dishes to get a feel for the menu. I ordered birria tacos, steak tacos, wings, menudo soup, and plantains. It was delicious. I'm new to birria tacos and have had them from only a few places. Of those, these were most memorable, and I would go back to order again. The wings/fries were okay, but I probably wouldn't go there for the wings alone. Steak tacos were awesome, and the accompanying sauce was good and spicy. I didn't taste the menudo soup, but I was informed by my tasting partner that it was in their top 5 ever and made the location a top place to eat! The plantains were reportedly fine, but that is a pretty good review from someone who grew up on plantains. Overall, based on this tasting session, this place is definitely now on my list for awesome tacos!

Food is soooooo fresh! How fresh? Your order is made when you order it. You can smell the chips being fried fresh. The quesadillas we got had a cheese pull. A CHEESE PULL. You don't get this at your regular smegular restaurant. You got abuela and tias making the food and it's quick and yummy. Can't wait to come back!

The Birria tocas are some of the best I have ever had they also have horchata and all the jarritos flavors

I tried the birria it had a weird taste straight up nasty and inedible. The service was okay nothing to rave about. Ambiance was like any small owned Mexican spot.

We ended up here after picking up something at Mom's. The food was very tasty. My son had the cabrito stew and I had some nachos. The tortillas are fresh made and excellent. The spices are good and they kindly brought extra pickled jalapeños when I asked. My only complaint is the tv was kind of loud.

Very salty. Expensive. Guacamole, burrito, fajitas, pico, rice, all very salty. $40 for two disappointing, salty entrees. Flavorful and authentic, but ruined by salt. The place is packed with people, though.

Outstanding food for a hole in the wall type of place. They have the best burrito I have found in the DC area. (I've been all over looking for a good burrito and this is hands down the best in the DC area), Their pupusas are everything you could want in a pupusa. The staff was friendly. I can't wait to go back.
