Taneytown Deli

Hole in the wall deli offering breakfast and lunch classics at a low cost. Have been eyeing this place since I moved to the area. I walked in once at lunch time and the line was out the door, so I learned my lesson and called ahead. Person on the phone didn't tell me how long or gave me a number, however, i figured 10-15 minutes would be reasonable. Partner picked it up and said it was fairly busy.I ordered the Virginian sandwich - grilled turkey, coleslaw, swiss, and thousand island dressing on rye, partner ordered an italian cold cut. Both sandwiches were about $20 total, which is a decent price for lunch nowadays! my sandwich was a solid 8/10, I would say my partner felt the same about his. It's a simple, well-made sandwich. Nothing more, nothing less. I would rate them a 4.5 if i could, simply because these sandwiches were nothing to write home about. But, nonetheless, we both got what we wanted, and for the price, portion, and convenience, I would simply feel prissy giving them anything less than a 5.

Great subs and fries, a little pricey but I'll be going back. Steak and cheese is good and so is the Pastrami.

Breakfast at the Grill and the coffee wasn't ready, the only bagel they has was plain, with plain cream cheese, no grits or oatmeal. Just wasn't a match. They had a crew of regulars stop by and they were happy. Must've been pancake or omelet eaters who don't need coffee. Place is open for breakfast and lunch. And it is an easy stop if your doing the NCR trail. They did brew a pot of coffee for me and were very nice.

I had their Rachel sandwich which was very good. It's a really simple sandwich. The only downfall is that the sandwich is pretty tiny for $7.00 I was hoping to get something a little more filling. I gave them 4 stars solely on the taste of sandwich :)

I honestly should have went to subways. The prices where higher then what I saw in the picture. I ordered a simple ham and cheese lettuce and tomato mayo, salt, pepper, oil and vinigar. Had to come back cause they forgot the lettuce and tomato. Pretty sure they forgot the oil and vinigar. Also no kind of interaction. Just a look of annoyance. Also the sub was small for almost 11 bucks. No thanks and never again.

The sub was definitely a 4/5, staff were friendly. I got a honey turkey sub and my only complain was the size.. definitely wasn't worth $11.

Have had breakfast and lunch at this deli, and have always been very satisfied with the orders I have had. Steak sub is very good, Rueben sandwichis very good, and bacon egg and cheese on a kaiser roll is very good.

Great service and food, and their breakfast platters are awesome. Ask for onions in your homefries and some cheese in your scrambled eggs. 10/10 and they have scrapple too. Their cold subs are delicious as well. Must try for lunch or breakfast.

Best deli I been too in a while. They were neat clean and all fresh ingredients, friendly and fast. Want forget about this place.

Taneytown Deli has a variety of breakfast and lunch items. The service was fast and the food was very tasty. They have about 4 tables inside and a table outside for those who prefer dine-in. Most people order food to-go. The lunch is good value for the price, between $7-$11, which is a bargain for post COVID. I recently ordered a fish sandwich and a Rueben. I highly recommend this deli.
