Taharka Brothers

Recent visit to R House. Went for food had to get ice cream. The customer service was great! Numerous flavors! The size look small, but she gave me a big scoops. The ice cream itself was delicious! I will be returning!

I recently went to the Taharka Brothers location at R House on a weekend and absolutely loved their ice cream! Surprisingly for a weekend, their stand was sporadically staffed, with the person behind the counter staying for five minutes maximum at a time and frequently leaving for 10-15 minutes, leaving the stand unattended. I got the caramel crunch ice cream, which was rich, creamy, full of caramel flavor and lots of crispy, crackly, chocolate covered chunks. Although a bit pricey, the portion size was excellent for the price. I would highly recommend Taharka Brothers the next time you are in Baltimore!

The Taharka brothers ice cream truck was parked right outside Peabody brewery during the hot sauce festival and I had to stop by! I got one scoop of the Tupac flavor which is vanilla with blackberry jam and graham cracker crumbles. It was a little heavy on the jam and I would've liked more vanilla but regardless it was very delicious! My friends tried coffee Oreo which was also wonderful. Service was great and I would definitely stop by again to try their other unique flavors. Roasted strawberry sounds divine

I've yet to try a flavor I didn't love. Even theirSummer 2022 corn on the bay flavor was a hit! But I'm a Marylander and I'll die on a hill for a sprinkle of old bay on anything. I love their ownership model and the fact that you can easily find them in the county now. We use to have to travel to the city for new flavors. My favorite? Honey graham all day. I'd put their flavors against any mainstream brand. Stay forever!

My first experience with Taharka Brothers (which I've heard wonderful things about) was great! I went to their truck at First Thursday at Canton Waterfront Park.It was toward the end of the night and they still had plenty of flavors left which was impressive as they consistently had a long line. The staff was aware of which ice cream flavors were gluten free (which I always appreciate), and I ended up choosing the non-dairy strawberry. I was SO surprised how creamy and rich it was in the best ways! My friends got key lime pie, and cookies and cream (photos attached of all).I've seen their truck around town at other events and can't wait to return.

Couldn't have been happier with my experience because in addition to the great ice cream, the young man working at Taharka that day, Jamal (I think that's what he told me), understood the assignment.I saw banana pudding ice cream and wanted it IMMEDIATELY. BUT I also wanted nuts in it. I know places like Taharka don't usually do toppings, but I asked Jamal and he said they did have some nuts. I told him I wanted the ice cream and nuts in a cup, but also wanted a waffle cone. He didn't say "Bet!" but I could see him thinking it, lol.He ended up putting a layer of nuts at the bottom of the cup, then a layer of ice cream, then another layer of nuts and another of ice cream. Then he perched the waffle cone on top! I thanked him profusely for making my dreams come true and paid.I settled in to eat that masterpiece and it was so very good! Perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon at Lexington Market!

Taharka Brothers Honey Graham ice cream is addictive. This is the best ice cream in B'More!

I did a fundraiser and I wasn't impressed. I got 8 pints of ice cream and 2 came frozen burnt! Out of the 8 flavors Banana Pudding, Caramel Crunch, Red Velvet, Keep Ya Head up, Honey Salted Ghram a couple were doubles the flavors were just ok nothing wow! Will not do this again!

For the 3rd time I bout a pint of the Honey Graham and it was more Graham chunks and swirls then there was Ice Cream. It was so rich that it got me sick. It was 75% Graham Swirls and 25% Ice Cream. After 3 times I don't think it's going to change. They probably don't even measure their ingredients. I only had One good experience with Taharka Brothers and that was about 5 years ago with The Banana Pudding Ice Cream. "Which is Only Seasonal". Haven't seen it back in stores since. So, I think it is very reasonable that I only give Taharka Brothers 1 Star !!!
