Swill Apothecafe by Blacksmiths

Swill was recommended by an employee at the B&O Railroad Museum just a few blocks away so we walked down to it and we are so glad we did. We are from Texas but this Baltimore family run Coffee and Apothecafe welcomed us like we were old longtime Family Friends. The coffee was excellent as well as the hot tea. But for me the homemade pita chips along with the Maryland Blue Crab Dip was to die for. Very flavorful, creamy and rich. We also had a grilled cheese and the Honey-Old Bay Chicken Strips or Tenders. Everything was excellent. Hopefully we will make it back up this way again and mosey on in for dome fantastic hospitality.

I'm obsessed. The restaurant is an entire vibe. First, the food is amazing. The chicken and waffles were delicious. The waffle was huge, perfectly fluffy with a slight crispy edge. I loved that the syurp came in a dusee bottle lol. The wings were perfect and came out nice and hot. The service was great with helpful suggestions and a pleasant demeanor. The interior is so relaxing. It has so many beautiful plants tastefully decorating the tables, bars, and entryway. The natural lighting is gorgeous too. They also have handmade soaps, jewelry, wraps, and sauces available for purchase along with the plants. Highly recommend

I was excited to finally attend this black owned restaurant that I've been planning to conclude the end of my friend's birthday celebration. To my disappointment the service and food was not a taste to wait for. Every process took an overdue amount of time- ordering,drinks, food and even the bill. The food was by far one of the most distasteful things I've had this year. I had fish and grits and it was subpar, if that.My friend ordered chicken and waffles and stopped eating it after the first bite due to the horrid flavors. When he asked this to be taken off our bill due to its distastefulness, things took even longer; that should've only taken half of the time. This was completely unacceptable and unprofessional in every aspect of business and professionalism. Not to mention the owner was actively present, and participating in the uncynical nonsense. If one can't take constructive criticism they will fail. If it depends on my dollar they would have failed today. Therefore, this experience on a day to be remembered, will be recalled for the wrong reasons in result of this restaurants distasteful hospitality. I will never return, and I urge anyone to never waste TIME AND MONEY on this unproductive and unprofessional establishment.

Wow! Wonderful Sunday brunch spot. Delicious food, outstanding service, great music and vibe. Highly recommend!

This is probably the best restaurant food in Pigtown. If this is any indication Pigtown's menu is going upscale. Delicious, creative with pleasant music in the background.
