Sweet Home Jamaica

I was in the mood for some Caribbean food on a Friday. I was in the neighborhood and decided to give them a try. I thought that this was just a carryout so I was surprised to see that the restaurant was filled with nice seating and decor. The menu had so much to choose from but I picked a few things for my to-go order. I ordered a large Curry Goat, a large Brown Stew Chicken, and a small Curry Chicken. The food was full of flavor and the portion sizes for the chicken dishes were good. The only complaint was the Goat. The Goat itself was good but it seemed like the dish was filled with a lot of vegetables and rice. An extra scoop of goat would have been love. I'll be back soon to try more dishes.

By far my favorite Jamaican restaurant in Baltimore! The food is authentic, you can actually taste the pimento seeds and thyme in the rice and peas. The brown stew is also delicious and they have a lunch special that goes until 3pm that comes with your choice of protein and rice along with a drink. The half and half is always good and sweet and the portions even for the lunch special are enough for me to split two meals. I tried their honey jerk chicken wrap today and while I wasn't too sure about it based on the looks it was DELICIOUS, spicy with a hint of sweetness. It's worth a try!

Visited Baltimore and was looking for some authentic Jamaican food && found this place... ordered the jerk pork with rice && peas && mac&&cheese... got a call it wasn't available so I settled for the jerk chicken which was very flavorful && well seasoned. Received a patty instead of mac&&cheese, although it was delicious I really wanted to taste the Mac&cheese. Ordered delivery which was fast && everything was hot && fresh.. the pineapple ginger drink is great as well fresh ingredients!

Great place. Staff is friendly and helpful, food tastes amazing. Jerk sauce is spicy! but flavorful. I like to get the brown stew chicken for lunch and a side of the jerk. They're amazing together! Rice and Peas is really good , and the curry is to die for. Literally never had anything bad from here, everything is seasoned to perfection. Lunch special is $8(pre-for meat, rice and peas, and plantain. Very decent size too, can definitely make two meals out of it. Parking outside is street parking, and can be challenging during peak hours. The neighborhood is "hood", just a heads up. Inside is clean and spacious, but I've honestly never seen anyone dining in. Not sure why that may be.

I ordered a Uber eats and wish I could've had it on-site! We had curry goat, oxtail, and patty. All were delish. The curry goat is next level with a light kick of spice; the oxtail is a little sweeter than I've ever had yet it worked. Very tasty. I'll order again. No pics as this was a while ago.

Got lost in Baltimore, and found this gem. Best Jerk Chicken I've eaten in long time. Their menu had many choices of Jamaican dishes. So happy to find this place in "The Hood".

This food is authentic non-commercialized Jamaican food!!! I was super happy to have stumbled across it. From the soup to the great lunch specials you will not be disappointed at all!!

Great authentic food. You can't go wrong here. My second visit, and i still love it. Lots of great traditional options, fresh juices, cakes, and ice cream. I can't wait to visit again.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!'I eat Caribbean and Jamaican all over the world including Trinidad and Jamaica, this place holds a candle with the best of the best. Ordered 3 Small Jerk Chicken and 1 Small Curry Chicken. First off SMALL!!!!! Are you kidding me? I have been many places where this would have been large. The Curry Chicken was the way I like it chopped and on the bone, way juicer and tastier than a boneless chicken breast. I spend 250 to 300 days a year on the road, I already can't wait to get back here!

I have lived 3 miles from this place and never visited until recently. Now I have to have the jerk chicken once a week and the rum cake is amazing. This place is a gem. Don't focus on the service. Just focus on the food!#eatlocal
