Sugar Ray's was def one of the best brunches I've done in Baltimore. Definitely a hole in the wall spot but it is a hidden gem. The place is small and parking is tight so my group came early and were able to get a nice spot to eat. The cover is $25 and it's an all you can eat buffet with mimosas and sangria included. Food was good and there was a good variety of items. I was annoyed that they had curry chicken out on the buffet but wouldn't serve it until 2 hours into brunch. Why have it out if you not ready to serve it?Anyway, the party atmosphere is what won me over. The DJ was everything. By the time we left brunch, it was the beginning of the day party and we were so lit. Sugar Ray's is definitely somewhere I would do brunch again.

An inconspicuous Brunch gem in Baltimore. I'd previously heard about Sugar Ray's and their nightlife but, this brunch mention was new. Upon hearing the price for brunch and unlimited mimosa, I was sold. The price you may ask, 25!On the menu: Salmon (plain and BBQ'ed), Fried Fish, Shrimp & Grits, Eggs, Bacon, Sausages, Home fries and French Toast. It all was soooo good. On top of that you could either sip upon, Sangria or Mimosa. Everything was delicious. Our barmaid was very attentive and friendly. Even the proprietor was on hand. He was super awesome. Brunch is from noon to 3.In the midst of Brunch, Dj Infame set up and had us rocking! Don't want to leave post Brunch? Dance off those extra lbs. In addition to brunch, they also had hookah available. If you ever find yourself in the neighborhood and/or are looking for a different brunch scene, this is your place.

What a vibe this place has! I love how this place is set up-- tons of space to dance! The music is always on point, the Sunday brunch is delicious and the drinks may take a bit of time due to short staff, but they're great too. I come here whenever I wanna let loose on a Sunday.

OMG. This is my favorite brunch place from now until forever. No other place in Baltimore does it like Sugar Rays. My friends and I shut the place down last Sunday. We got there early and stayed until closing. This was THE BEST DAY PARTY I HAVE EVER BEEN TO.When I arrived, I was a little nervous because of the neighborhood. Once inside, my worries went away. Food, drinks, hookah, and an outdoor lounge for smoking whatever your heart desires. This place caters to everyone: the eater, the dancer, the viber, the smoker, you name it!The food selection was good. There were a few food items that were on the buffet but not ready yet. That was a little confusing to us, but it didn't ruin our time. Man. Just writing this review makes me want to get my crew together to discuss our next visit! This is a great place for birthday celebrations or just to kick it with your crew. It is a flipped home turned lounge. Full bar. Great atmosphere. $25 gets you endless buffet, mimosa, or sangria. Hookah is $30 and $10 for extra coals. Sections on the upper level start at $250.

Had brunch for my girls birthday at Sugar Ray's Lounge which was in the heart of the hood. When I first drove up I was wondering where did my friend have me. She did forewarn me, so the shock was lessened because of that. Once you overlook the boarded up houses and the dope boys on the block, it was so worth it. When you first arrive you are greeted by security who checks your i.d. and bag. Then you pay $25 to the lady at the door behind security which covers the buffet and unlimited Mimosas and Sangria. Once I entered, I was greeted with a warm welcome by 2 lovely hosts. I was then taken to my table and the hostess explained that I could head over to the buffet line to get my food and she would have my choice of either a Sangria or Mimosa waiting for me. I started out with the Sangria, it was pretty strong but that was ok. I then went for the Mimosa which I liked better. The hostess came around frequently and made sure our cups stayed full and overfloweth with either a Sangria or Mimosa. After getting my food, I sat down and tried the shrimp and grits first. Now i'll have you know, I don't care for shrimp and grits unless I'm in the south, i mean I have found very few places where its tolerable but I digress. Its just one of those things that I haven't found to be done right up these parts. Like you don't go outside of Maryland to get a crab cake right? It's just something you don't do. Well anywho, the shrimp and grits was lit. Lol. Another favorite dish there was the rice and curry chicken. After I tasted that, I was convinced that somebody Caribbean was back there cooking. No yankee was back there cooking, lol. After devouring my meal and going back for my second plate, I met the owner and who was super sweet. I told him how good the food was and asked where the cook (his wife) was from. He told me Trinidad, I then said I knew it. That food was from someone who had some sort of Caribbean descent. Don't let the appearance of the struggle plate fool ya, that food was bomb. Food was seasoned to perfection. Overall, nice establishment and I will definitely be back again for brunch.

When I first pulled up to this establishment, I shuddered due to its location. It's literally in the heart of the hood. Boarded up houses and sketchy characters surround Sugar Rays, but once you cross the threshold, you forget all about it!Be advised, my review is based on Sunday brunch (12-5pm). $25 at the door will get you a hefty brunch buffet and all-you-can-drink Mimosas and Sangria. Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Curry Chicken, Ribs, String Beans, Shrimp N Grits, French Toast and Seafood Pasta are just a FEW options offered at the buffet. I throughly enjoyed every item on my plate, and proudly went back for seconds...and thirds. As for the Mimosas and Sangrias... top notch! Be careful though, because they WILL sneak up on you. After eating, be sure to head to either lounge area to hear the latest hip-hop/R&B hits and smoke some hookah if you're into that. It was a rainy day when I was there, so I was unable to utilize the outside lounge area. My only gripe is that it's gets pretty hot in the lounge. They had a few window AC units scattered throughout, but they become pointless when the place is jam-packed.Great food, great drinks, great people, great service and fun but mature atmosphere are just a few terms to describe Sugar Rays. I highly recommend their Sunday brunch, but be sure to get there early for a good parking spot. You can also get a free section in the lounge area if you arrive before 12!

Did someone say BRUNCH!?Brunch for $25.00 inclusive of bottomless mimosas?!Y'all they brought the DC Native to Baltimore's East Side....let's just say I was coerced into it by a great group of people and great driving buddy, neither of us knowing anything about the city itself - especially in daylight hours.Location - Right off Milton, coming off the hwy its a seemingly straight shot. Drive slow cause you don't want to be me for 15 minutes riding up and down looking for a restaurant....a restaurant that blends into the surrounding esthetics.Decor - Its like a renovated home....with a bar that sits at the door. I like alcohol - works for me. The kitchen is in the back. There are 2 more levels and two entries to both floors with a deck in the rear. It was neat...it was clean...I got comfy and stayed.Food/Drinks - Served buffet style, we were served (yes they serve you) French toast, eggs, grits (sweet grits which I hate by the way) with option of shrimp/sauce topping. Beef and turkey sausage, potatoes (THESE WERE SO GOOD) and biscuits. Mimosa and Sangria are included in your 25.00....they were both equally delicious and even better in a half and half together, lolAmbience - GREAT! The music was awesome, great DJ....as mentioned below, dance those carbs off. Everything felt clean, inclusive of the bathroom. Odds/EndsService was decent. They serve hookah.Free Street Parking
