Breakfast is comfortable here. Folgers coffee. Lots of pastries (mostly plain). Breakfast options abound. Even pupusas are available for breakfast. If you crave Latin American pastries this place is a paradise.

I came here today because I pass by this establishment daily on my way to work. I got a few of the conchas and breads and was disappointed. Everything tasted stale and bland. I did not try any of the restaurant food but all the food in the showcase looked fairly old and off putting. When I paid the hostess took my money while still wearing the gloves she came out of the kitchen with, which makes me question if she changed them when going back to cook. This is not a place I would return to eat.

Unfortunately, I haven't eaten yet. Would give this no stars if I could. First four choices for dinner - all not available. Unfortunately, already served drink, so am stuck here. They are a bakery too, which maybe is what they should stick to. But if they want to attract gringo business, they need to get it together. So much for trying something new & supporting local & immigrant small businesses. Food has come - and the tacos have green beans & peas & carrots in them! The rice is white!I'd be angry if this wasn't so sad. I've eaten in my share of chain & indie Mexican places in my 52 years, and this is the WORST. I'm not an active poster, but I feel like this is more of a warning than a review.

This place is a little confusing when you first walk in because it's half restaurant half bakery but it's all good. Service started off a bit slow at first but our waitress was great once we hit it off. She was friendly, attentive, and always with a smile on her face. She also made sure drinks were filled and our chips (which were amazing, fresh from the fryer and perfectly salted) and salsa was never empty. Entrees was also good, if not lacking a little bit on salt. Once we added a smidge more, it was much better. Presentation was also great so definitely A in that department. Fajita lovers - prepare to have enough for 3 or more meals - the amount of fajitas is unreal. Probably 3 peppers, 3 onions, and a 1/2 a cow were brought sizzling hot on a platter with the steak Fajitas. My fiance and I both ordered one separate and wished we would've shared it. At $12.95 a plate though, we weren't too mad about the leftovers when most other Mexican joints charge $16+ for one. Chicken burrito was also delish - great seasoning on the chicken and burrito was stuffed with rice, beans, lettuce, salsa, guac, and sour cream, then topped with melted cheese to set it off. One word of caution for credit card users - you have to let them know before you pay how much tip you want to add because they don't have the ability (or maybe the desire?) to add it afterwards - led to a bit of an awkward exchange when we asked where the tip line was on our receipt.

Reviewed: 3/17/18 - (2:30 pm)7/10: Decor8/10: Service 10/10: Food10/10: Portion Size/PresentationSu Casa Restaurante Grill is an amazing little find in Owings Mills! My fiancé and I actually live across the street and saw it being built and stopped in for a quick lunch on the second day they were open.Decor:In regards to the decor, you get a very homie vibe and it just feels very welcoming. The plating is vibrant and the glasses are beautiful even though they are plastic. We sat in a booth which was very comfortable and spaced well within the restaurant.Service:*(please note this section of the review was given on the second day after opening and will be adjusted in a month after they have time to understandably work out the kinks and settle in)The service wasn't great upon walking in, as we ended up having to seat ourselves as one of the other customers recommended to us after waiting for a couple of minutes. As soon as we sat we were greeted promptly by a young man who took our order and was very kind. Our server did forget to offer us complimentary chips and salsa and our food took a long time to come out even though there were only five other people in the restaurant. (All of that being said I never let service have an impact on my reviews and like to let the food drive the rating unless there are any extraordinary circumstances.)Food:(Let me start off by saying I am not a fan of Mezcal down the road which has a high rating even though they have low quality flavorless entrees. My fiancé and I usually make a drive to Mi Pueblo all the way in Glen Burnie for great Mexican food.)Now with that out of the way, thank god and everything that is great for Su Casa opening up in Owings Mills! Their food blows every other Mexican restaurant out of the water within a 12 mile radius, hands down, no questions asked. Calling all locals of Owings Mills... if you think Mezcal has good food(which they don't)... you don't know what good food is until you try Su Casa!We had the nachos with chicken and beans added. It was served with guacamole, salsa fresco, and sour cream topped with delicious tangy cheese and jalapeños. All the ingredients were super fresh and tasted amazing. There was just enough cheese but not to much cheese that you could still taste the flavors of all of the other ingredients.I ordered the "Tacos De Pollo" that came with the most amazing seasoned chicken, salsa fresco, lettuce, on 2 authentically homemade tortillas served with guacamole, sour cream, rice and baked beans... LET ME JUST SAY HANDS DOWN THE BEST TACOS I'VE EVER HAD.Portion Size/Presentation:Everything was served neatly and on extremely vibrant plates. It looked like they actually cared how their delicious food looked on their plates. Please check out the first 6 pictures posted.TL/DR:10/10 best FRESH, AUTHENTIC, Mexican/Latin food in a 12 mile radius. So glad I got to give them their first review, please don't expect fast service and be patient while they work out their restaurant since it just opened.

First time here. Service and timing was good but it was a quiet time of day. Chips and salsa a little uninspired. Obviously store-bought thick chips not even warm and the salsa had little flavor or pop. I ordered the huevos con chorizo. Not a huge serving of eggs and chorizo but good flavor served with the requisite beans and rice. The rice had bits of veg and was nicely chicken-y. I'm not a refried beans fan but these were tasty. My Heart got the chicken nachos (his favorite, so a good Test). Super cheesy with both melted queso blanco and shredded cheese, tender tasty pieces of white meat chicken, fresh jalapeños (Not the jarred pickled stuff), and a few green onions. Not awed but definitely worth another visit for dinner probably.

I like to support local businesses and since this is a new restaurant in the area, I just have to try it.Currently I would give them 3 1/2 stars since this is my first visit and it didn't "wow" me. I usually visit a place a few times and update my reviews accordingly. I would definitely come back but between this and Watami that's next door, it's a hard decision!!

Tried it the second week they were open. They weren't busy, but the food took over an hour to get. Two of the people I was with ordered hot food that was cold it arrived.I ordered a combo platter with a quesadilla, taco, and enchilada. The quesadilla tasted like it was just melted cheddar cheese. When we were going in, we heard the diners they were leaving raving about the food.I love Mexican and Tex-Mex food, but Taco Bell was better than this.
