Great Russian store that has anything a post-Soviet would want, from all kinds of groceries to cold cuts and cheese and deserts and lots of tasty prepared foods for a great price. This is my go-to when I have nothing to make for dinner and I want some stuffed cabbage and olivier salad, and maybe some blini for breakfast and cutlets for the next day too...Now if only MD would grant them a liquor license to sell Baltika and the vodka they're named after!

I'm always one for food adventures and exploring new foods. Found this place randomly while on a work assignment. The place is tiny, hidden in a larger shopping center right next to a grocery store. While it says deli, it's really a small market. Walking in, I noticed a small produce section of fruits and vegetables that appear to be sourced from local farms - all the produce was beautiful and appeared fresh. Walking further back there are shelves of European candies and an assortment of jarred sauces and vegetables. Further back is a meat counter, frozen and dairy section, and baked goods. For a place so small they have certainly crammed quite a bit inside. I bought a bag of frozen pierogies, Ukrainian eggplant paste, and shrimp and roe cream. The staff was friendly and graciously answered our questions and schooled us on how to use various jarred goods. I will probably be back to try more sauces and candies and maybe try something from their meat counter.

My wife and I are really unhappy with this store. We bought groceries there and everything was old. The bread was bad and starting to mold. The meat was bad too. Their customer service was the worst and they refused to speak anything but Russian. The deli counter ladies were rude to my wife. We used to come here frequently but since they are rude and not rotating stock, we will not return.

Not sure who rated the staff friendly except maybe relatives. Anyone from a Russian speaking country will experience the same rudeness experienced by the staff. Not friendly people at all. I go because my wife enjoys the taste and flavors but be ready for a "rude" awakening.

Artak, owner/manager, is a friendly, considerate, helpful, and warm personality. It was a pleasure coming into the store and experiencing customer service that is impeccable as he has provided. The food he prepared was homey and delicious. I was also very happy to learn that he delivers. I had a work meeting until mid-afternoon on Friday in downtown Baltimore and had to get home (45 min. drive southward without traffic, and I was hitting rush hour--it took 1.5 hours) soon after to entertain 30 guests at my home for dinner. Artak was so kind as to bring the food to my workplace, on time and direct into my car. You can't beat that kind of service! I certainly plan to return for more--BTW, the olivie salad is AMAZING!.

Great selection of Eastern European food. Potato pancakes taste just like your bubbie's. If you are studying Russian, the staff will be more than flattered and will help you in conversing. Despite some Google reviews, their English is fine. Highly recommended.
