Stevensville Crab Shack

As a group from out of state, we wanted to make sure we got crab before our trip ended. This place let us order a bunch of crabs (and wings for the non-seafood eaters) day-of, which was nice. We made sure to order pretty early so they would have them ready by around 6pm. We ordered to go because the place is very small and we had to many people. The food travelled well back to where we were staying and we had fun cracking them open to get to the meat.

If you are heading back to DC from Ocean City, there is place to get crab or sandwiches before the Bay Bridge. Hubby liked the breaded crab. The size was decent. He also liked the vegetable soup with crab. The french fry portion was tiny. There is limited parking but it wasn't busy on a Monday afternoon. The bathroom was beyond gross. I went inside & left. This was the condition when it wasn't busy or crowded. There were several employees around. Maybe you have to wait for someone to fix a sink but a bathroom can always be clean. Bonus points for having birch beer on the soda fountain.

Great people. Amaze-balls hush puppies - truly bigger than a gold ball round crunchy goodness. Potato salad was more than solid - good flavor from mustard and enough egg to count. Coconut shrimp is EXCELLENT with prevalent coconut shreds - served with orange marmalade to dipIn. Solid fries, piping hot. Good veggie crab soup. We got a half dozen medium crabs which was plenty for the two of us. Only sad thing was three of our crabs was missing one or both of its claws. The SO reported the crab wrap to be decent, but not delicious mentioning it needed a mayo based flavor like an aioli or rémoulade. Good prices, great seasoning. A very cute place to stop overlooking a non-commercial airport. Yes, you can get a bottled or canned beer, seltzer or cocktail from their cooler.

Prompt, friendly service, tasty food at a decent price. Crab-cake sandwich was very good!

Food was really great BUT you cannot have a woman at the front counter consistently pulling hair from her braids and her loose hair on the floor. THAT IS DISGUSTING!!!!FOOD GREAT - HYGIENE GROSS

This place is an absolute scam. Ordered 1 pound of sautéed scallops to go. When I got home and opened the bag and container, there was less than half a pound, and dry and overcooked. I get that some of the weight reduces upon cooking, but it simply is not worth $30 for 0.28 lbs of scallops. Would not recommend this place.
