Station 202 Restaurant & Bar

A two star review is being generous. This is a very confused restaurant. The menu has no identity...is it Mexican?, American Comfort?, Italian?The decor... French paintings, Mexican music, leftover Denny's furniture. It's stark and not very inviting or warm.Now the food...when my wife said she would have rather had Taco Bell tacos (and she hates Taco Bell), I know she's not satisfied with her food. I had a burger that tasted like mush. Would I recommend this place? Hell no...I would had rather had a rotisserie hotdog from the Exxon gas station this place is hidden behind.

A wonderful culinary surprise next to the Wyndham Garden hotel offering upscale dishes with flavorful sauces, sides, and appetizers. I'll admit, when my friend and I walked up to the restaurant for dinner mid-week and saw the place empty...we contemplated leaving. Finding it directly next to a hotel also made us question our choice, but thankfully I trusted Yelpers, and found the service and food were great!In an area that provides myriad Caribbean, soul food, deep fried fish/chicken, and seafood boil venues, my work colleagues were scouring our various map apps to find anything offering upscale American fare. Jaspers and Station 202 were the closest to Walker Mill, MD, and Station 202 wins--hands down.I thought it odd our server greeted us with tortilla chips and salsa (as I did not peg this place as an Americanized-Mexican restaurant). I will rarely turn away the opportunity, however, and it greased the wheel to try great appetizers such as bacon wrapped dates. Based on other Yelpers, I chose the lamb chops with demi glace, boiled potatoes, and asparagus (upcharge from the vegetable medley the offered). Both my entree and my colleagues were delicious and we celebrated our decision to stay by raising a glass together. There's a reason Yelpers rate Station 202 in the top tier--it's great! While the location is less than ideal, the kitchen and waitstaff absolutely know what they're doing. I highly encourage you to give 202 a try; you will not regret your decision!

Unfortunately, 3 out of 4 ordered the lamb chops. So, I guess this will be about the sides. Each one of the three ordered different sides. Rice pilaf-anh and the same for the rice and black beans. Greens were yummy. Mash and spinach as to be expected-a solid side choice-nothing fancy just a decent side. The steak and eggs wowed us all, it came to the table on a fajita plate steaming and sizzling. Only downside is it's gonna keep cooking your steak so ask for a plate. The hibiscus ginger cocktail was good and I added a shot of Jamaican rum...hubby did a double shot of Bacardi gold...nice taste w/or w/o the alcohol. The ambiance is like any open breakfast place or hotel restaurant. Nothing too fancy, but nice enough and clean!Wait staff is nice and attentive. The outside almost scared us off...don't let it. Come in and give it a try...let us know what you think!

My coworkers and I visited in early May for happy hour. Safe to say we were a little confused by the menu. I was intrigued by it but disappointed nonetheless. Our drinks were really sweet and the empanadas different. I think being made with mozzarella confused my senses. And the dipping sauce did not mesh. Plenty of parking tho.

I really enjoyed the burger and fries, cooked to perfection and served with ketchup and mustard. Not everyone in my party did but the service was excellent. Outside wasn't as important, and didn't look great, but inside was nice. Located just off highway 202, I get where the name comes from now that I've been but before that I thought it was an area code reference.

I was pleasantly surprised. I was looking for a place for my kids and I to eat after I had a rehearsal at a church in MD. It's not fancy, but the terrific smell hits you before you even get inside. The customer service was attentive and friendly. Check this spot out. You won't be disappointed.

I woke up excited to take another bookmark off my list.Fail! The coffee was gross, how do you mess up coffee? The chicken and waffle were terrible. The chicken is frozen chicken that they just fry, it was giving stadium food. The waffle was actually good but was cold. The calamari was greasy.The burger was ordered plain, dry with just meat cheese bread and still came out with sauce. Literally didn't eat but two waffle squares. Refills for soda are not free. Thank goodness this was cheap. They acknowledged the mishap on the burger but yeah it remained on the check, I didn't complain I just wanted to pay and keep it moving.

Came here after a meeting and we were seated immediately. There were 8 of us. Very cute inside. I didn't catch the server's name but she was very kind and extremely attentive. She checked on us frequently and made sure our water glasses were full. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo and it was delicious! Perfect portion size! Everyone at the table enjoyed their food and drinks. The mango juice was AMAZING. Super fresh and delicious.

This is just what this location needed - great food, available parking and the ability to meet almost any sized dining party's needs. I went recently near Happy Hour and sat at the cute bar that feels cozy given the size of the dining room. It's away from the large space so it's perfect for a small group or even a cozier date. The dining room is so spacious, it could probably be rented for a reception. Which wouldn't be a bad idea given how good the food tastes. I got the Dátiles and sangria on this visit but I've had their crab cakes, salmon and lamb chops before and they all were heavenly.The customer service is consistent and attentive from the moment you walk until you say your goodbyes. The bonus is it's location, RIGHT by 295 on Landover Rd. Convenient and delicious. I'll be back soon!

Food was amazing! Ambiance awesome! Service was on point! Lidia was fantastic! So attentive! 10/10 recommend.
