Spirits of Mt. Vernon

It's nice having Spirits of Mt. Vernon in the neighborhood. Their selection is a bit more elevated than your regular neighborhood corner store and I love their patio seating. A few months ago, I called in asking for a bottle of pisco and luckily, they had some in stock. The owner was nice enough to put it aside for me so when I arrived, it was already waiting behind the counter. Really appreciated this level of service since I was in a rush to get to my dinner reservations!Although you aren't allowed to buy a bottle of wine to enjoy outside on their glorious patio, it is a nice to spot to hang for a glass (or two). They even have themed nights with specialty cocktails. The inside bar is small and usually a bit busy but there are other larger tables inside, too. On a recent visit, their wine by the glass menu included several whites, several reds, several bubbly options, and even a handful of oranges. They were nice enough to allow me to try a couple whites before I landed on one I liked for a full pour. Glasses ranged from $8 to $15 so prices are pretty standard for the area.

This is a fabulous combination of destination bottle shop, tasting room and bar. The people are fantastically nice, the shop feels great, all the customers are happy (and buzzed), Spirits is really something special. I love stopping by!

I found Mt. Vernon Spirits by mistake as I thought it looked like a bookstore before I was close enough to read the facade. My partner and I checked it out and it's since been a favorite location to grab a nice bottle of wine and usually a quick drink.While not a bookstore, it still has that same cozy vibe. There are tables and seating set up within the store and a set of dog chess in case you're in the mood for a game. Everyone I've met at this establishment is friendly and helpful. The bartender's rendering of the drink menu is excellent and they've gotten creative with off menu drinks as well. I was surprised to find them open on Thanksgiving and stopped in for a glass of wine with my guests and a couple of bottles for dinner. In addition to a lovely selection of wine they also have a small collection of spirits and beer for sale. I've recommended this store to my friends in the area.

Very simple concept. Come in, grab a seat and grab a drink. Spirits is a relaxed place to catch up with a friend or just enjoy some alone time. It's a great place to explore different wine options and the staff was sweet and helpful.

Service | Chill | OptionsService - The service is GRADE A. The two women who run the establishment are amazing and can answer any question you have about wine or champagne. Chill - The overall vibe is extremely chill. It is the best spot for after-work drinks, start your night drinks, end your night drinks, or you just want to get out of the house and make new friends drinks. Options - They have a large number of options. They have a variety of regions represented from Europe to Latin America. They have all the grapes and areas covered. So, be ready to be in spirits heaven. Pro Tip: Not a lot of parking. So add 10 minutes to your travel or uber. Pro Tip: There are a lot of great spots for dinner around the area. So it is the ideal spot to start or end your night.

Cute little spot in Baltimore. They have a great variety of wines and liquors. The owner is very kind and knowledgeable about the wine. We will definitely visit the store again next time we go back to Baltimore.

Spirits of Mt. Vernon is a gem in Mt. Vernon. It is THE go to place to find excellent wines from around the world as well as a fine collection of liquor offerings. Whether you're looking for a wine for that special occasion or just restocking your wine rack, this is the place to go. Or, if you're just in the mood for a great glass (or two) of a great wine and conversation inside or enjoying the weather outside, they can accommodate. Vickie, the owner, can guide your selections, and has created a great ambience for finding what you need. As a long time customer, I highly recommend.

I haven't purchased any wine at Spirits of Mt. Vernon, but I did meet a friend here after work one day for some wine. In addition to being a small but well-stocked wine store, they also serve as a wine bar. However, their choices if you just want a glass or two of wine are very limited (when I was there, they offered one white and one red option by the glass). What is great about them is that you can drink any bottle you purchase inside. So it's a fun place for a drink if you want a whole bottle, but less great if you just want a glass or two. I wish they had a few more open bottles for people who just want a drink or two, but the service is great (even though they can get very busy)! Definitely check it out as a wine shop if you live in the area or for a glass of wine if you're in the area!

Great wine selection. Feels like family. Great atmosphere and porch dining. Good time for any visitors in Mt Vernon.
