The rice is always poppin but they are stingy with it, ask for two cups! Thank me later. It's bomb.

Had catered food ordered by our friend .loved their goat meat .Very tasty not too oily . Also there was a special dish made with eggplant and poppy seeds. Delicacy of Bengali cuisine.Full of flavor I would have added a bit more poppy seed paste to the eggplant .Their samosas were ok. Not crunchy. The costing of the samosa was not crispy at all .inside was uncooked .Tandoori chicken was good . I would have preferred it s bit more moist .

Oof! This place ain't it. Outside of the naan and the samosas, nothing else we ordered was worth eating. I swear they gave me the worst piece of goat meat ever served to a person. That meat was so tough I wouldn't even serve it to my dog! My wife's lamb was tender but lacked any depth of flavor (just sad for a Desi restaurant). They gave us water in plastic bottles, and never once returned to offer us more water (I usually drink 20oz of water with big meals, 12 ain't getting it digested). No service whatsoever other than taking the order and walking out the food, even though my wife and I were the only two people in the entire restaurant!! After finishing what was mildly edible and sending back 95% the goat curry untouched, we waited for 15 minutes for them to bring the check, but it never came. Instead, I had to walk to the counter and pay, and of course she still flipped that screen around for me to enter a tip! Just awful. Now, I'm adding a second star because we watched them go above and beyond for an elderly lady by pulling her car up in the rain and helping her place her large takeout order in before helping her to the car. That was genuinely decent. I don't know if maybe they just hate middle aged white guys (an actual experience common in MoCo), but this felt like the way we were treated when we would eat at restaurants as a mixed race family in Indiana where the KKK was headquartered for most of the 20th century! Go literally anywhere else unless you're old as heck and don't like big flavors, then this might be your spot

Belly filling flavorfull quality eats!Found this place on yelp and was pleasantly suprised by tasty authentic offerings. Basically everything on the menu looks good and is freshly prepared while you wait. Went with combo, kabobs and Shrimp Pokora which came with rice and bean dish. Meal was satisfying and definitely recommended if youre in the area. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Plenty of selections in the buffet trays adjacent to the small informal resturant dining area provide visual while you wait. Prices seem average and be sure and check hours before visitng.

After visiting more times, I can say there are certain dishes that really realy stand out. Butter chicken, a few lamb dishes as well. I have a better experience at different times but 4/5 times everything is beautiful and awesome tasting and leaves me wanting and craving more. Everyone isn't perfect every time. I love this business and their Indian food. Best Indian food in all of Germantown and I have tried them ALL.

"you better give this place 5 stars!" - my friends after a buffet lunch today. We came based on my neighbor's recommendation, and he didn't steer us wrong! While the buffet is small (smallest I've ever been to), the quality is top notch. When we first walked in, there were only two other people. However, several people from all over (as far as an hour's drive) walked through the doors while we were dining to pick up food from here. THAT'S how good the food is. I actually loved that it was on the smaller side because I was able to try, and truly appreciate the flavor in, each individual dish, instead of forgetting what I had eaten halfway through the meal. Parking can be a bit of a nuisance at lunchtime on Saturdays since it shares a lot with the Dutch Market, but don't let that deter you.

First time trying Spice Grill! The store was very authentic, and the food were very delicious and rich in flavors. They have big parking garage in front of the store which is a huge plus! The lady at the cashier was very nice and friendly. The food came with a bowl of rice (it is just not in the picture.) I will definitely try again, but I just wish the portion is little bit bigger :)

Do not go here! This place claims to serve 100% halal meat, but the only Muslim employee is not allowed to pray. Worst is there is a prayer space in the Halal Butcher a few doors down he could easily go to. Boycott until the owners becomes better!

Had the buffet for lunch. Good solid Indian fare. The chicken curry was very good. The Tandoori chicken could have benefited from a longer marinade to soak up more flavor prior to cooking. Staff was friendly. Restaurant was nice and clean.

Based on reviews I thought this might be a good mom and pops restaurant with decent food, but I guess not all mom and pops restaurants are created equal. I had the lunch Buffet, butter chicken was too sweet and everything else just average or below average. As a feedback, I only mentioned to owner that butter chicken was on the sweet side and his response was... "I don't know where you eat but this is the real butter chicken, I cook to Indiana embassy" :)In all cases, there are plenty of authentic and far better Indian restaurants in the area
