Southside Burger Bar

I never go into cross street market anymore, but I was at an event nearby so we stopped for a light snack. My friend's mom wanted some chicken wings so we ordered wings and got a very simple cheeseburger with onion rings, and they had happy hours so we got $3.50 Natty Boh and Miller lites. This is one of the biggest food markets in the city outside of Lexington market - I was glad to see it was so busy on a Friday evening. They have ample seating and restrooms and the staff at Southside Burger were really friendly. The wings were fine, but I really loved the onion rings and the simple cheeseburger. Everything is plastic and paper plates all disposable because it's a food hall so it's a very casual, as you go environment I was surprised to see so many families. Please avoid supporting larger chains and support local this year, I would definitely come back for a burger and onion rings! It's hard to find good onion rings! Totally forgot to take pictures of my food, but will come back and update.

This is hands down one of my favorite small businesses in Baltimore! Not only is their food incredible, but the staff is always so kind and they make you feel like you're at home. Every time I'm in the area, I make sure to stop in and get some dogs. The location of the market is perfect and adds to the positive community vibe.

Was craving a smashburger & found this place after a quick search. Ordered the original burger and fries.This burger was juicy and tasted great.Great serving size for the price. I was only able to eat half of the burger & was full.Would return the next time I'm in the mood for a good burger

Everything came out hot and fresh and the burger was well seasoned. Customer service was great .

One of my fave spots for a burger and bier. Friendly staff, quick service, cheap beer, food is absolutely delicious and freshly made upon ordering. Located inside Crosstreet Market, its a must if you're in the area for lunch.

If I could give this 6 stars, I would. Best smash burger in Baltimore. Period. The menu is small, and they make thousands of burgers a day. They're good at it. Get the classic double. Try the fries. Treat yourself to a beer.

Ordered a sampler platter and it was good. Basic bar food. Bartender was meh, absent, and I felt like I was a bother. My husband had to wave her down to ask her to please get him a beverage. She wasn't busy. Just chatting with a customer. Will not return. Nice location, meh food, thumbs down service.

Absolute TRASH!!! Lemme start from the beginning the girl who took our order STEPHANIE I asked her for a black bean veggie burger and she was super sweet. My boyfriend ordered wings. We get our good I take a bite and look at my boyfriend and say I don't think this is a black bean burger. He goes and confronts Stephanie who says yeah it isn't one. I've been a VEGETARIAN for the past 10+ years never eating real meat Aka she's lucky I'm not in the hospital. I confront Stephanie and she just replies saying I hate my job and don't care if I served you the wrong order. No apology and proceeds to say to me do you wanna fight cause I don't give a shit that I messed up your order. This is the absolute worst customer service ever. Do yourself a favor and fire Stephanie she obviously hates her job lol and Vegetarian be aware!!!!!!! Please be very careful with what you eat if you have any dietary restrictions.

Tuesday afternoon, I just needed a burger. This was the first to come up on yelp and I was around Federal Hill so went in for a take out before heading back to DC. Ordered an Original-2 patties LTP, Swiss cheese. Side of fries and a Root beer. Sat in my car, opened up the container and it was wrapped nicely nestled in with the peanut oil fried fries. Had a fry or two. Nice and crisp on the outside. Perfectly cooked. Unwrapped the burger. And it looked solid. Condiments weren't over-bearing and fresh. Took a bite and it was cooked perfectly just on the cusp of MR/M. Juicy, seasoned right (seemed like just salt-perfect). The entire burger stayed together with every bite. The cheese was melted just right. Finished the whole burger without touching another fry and sat for a minute. Damn that was good. I had to call back the restaurant and let them know. Told the young lady "That was the best burger I've had in 10 years. Please thank the cooks!"Seriously. So pleasantly surprised. So blown away. I'll be back each time i return to Baltimore. All I could think about was if Tarantino tried this burger before writing Pulp Fiction, he would not have had to invent the Big Kahuna Burger!And Jules would have still said "Mmm this is a tasty burger!"

Outrageously great fries and great service a stop here is a must. Great seating area too
