Southern Maryland Crabs

Terrible customer service. The blond young lady working the front is rude, dismissive, and quite frankly incable of communicating with the public effectively. If she is the face /type of personality this business has as the goldstandaed for customer service and business, I do not wan't anything to do with them. Thus, I will never spend a penny with Souther Crab and Seafood. And, I suggest you save your time, money, and energy by not purchasing from this business. This business isn't doing you nor the community any favors.

I ordered a shrimp pan and I must say this was the saltiest seafood I have ever had ! I defiantly would not be going back !

Several months ago, I ordered two dozen extra large male crabs that were extremely small, very light in weight and had an ammonia smell when opened. I immediately sent them a message to make them aware of my dissatisfaction with pics attached, but they were closed and told me to bring the crabs in the next day to be inspected. They said that a refund would be unlikely because no one else had complained the entire day.As an entrepreneur myself, I'm very keen on customer service and product satisfaction, but perhaps that isn't a priority to the owners of Southern MD Crabs and Seafood in Waldorf!

Against my better judgment I ordered crabs from them last night. My cousin was in town and I wanted to treat her to crabs. My go to was sold out and despite my previous purchases being crap, I figured I would try one last time. She leaves today to go back to TX so I had no options. Well to say I was shocked at how crappy they were was an understatement. Just as the previous times before the crabs are dry and overcooked. Like how do you screw up crabs? You could just look at them and see they were over cooked. The little legs should not be crunchy feeling when you pick them up nor look dried out. I know me personally, I like some moisture in my crab meat. You know the kind that has juicy meat. Well this was the absolute opposite of what you get. Welp that was it for me, I don't care if everyone is sold out. I will NEVER again spend another penny there! Such a waste of food. If the dollar tree sold crab meat, I would take my chances there before EVER purchasing over cooked, dried out crabs from here!Such a shame a crab sacrificed his life to end up in the pot of cookers who clearly never learned how to cook them!

The crab were meaty. The staff was very friendly. Very clean restaurant. Great location

I ordered a bushel of crabs from here yesterday for a Memorial Day get together. I didn't like the fact that when I placed my online order I had to pay in full but I got over it. The pick up was pretty smooth and organized. Despite all the negative comments I saw here on yelp, I ordered anyway. I had a few previous visits here and it was good from what I remembered. I was pleased with the large crabs we ordered, they were full of meat and had great flavor. I would definitely come back. Unfortunately, I didn't grab a photo before we ate them

I feel that because we are in Waldorf places especially this one try to capitalize. This is just ridiculous I wish my husband had looked in the bag before bringing them home. I honestly felt like getting in the car once he returned to take these back to get our money back. I will NEVER go there again. $50 dollars and we ordered 2 dozen. I have NEVER been sold crabs this small EVER!!!! If I could give them a "0" a would!!! The crabs are extra small, light and soft what a waste of money!!

I enjoy enjoy getting crabs from this business when I don't feel like traveling fat from Waldorf for crabs.

A great budget friendly place. I came in the young lady that took my order was very friendly and had my dozen ready in less than 15 mins. Great service !

Mike and his crew provided a full-service crab feast for my high school alumni group this past July. We had 20 bushels of male crabs that were meaty and seasoned to perfection. And their customer service ranks top tier! His staff were prompt, professional and courteous. Mike's prices are great and we purchased crabs from him throughout the summer.. same level of service and fabulous crabs! We will continue to shop here and encourage you to do the same. You will not be disappointed!!!
