Great soul food! I love their cabbage and my boyfriend loves their chicken box. I am gluten free so I typically either get the vegetable tray or baked fish. The sweet potatoes and potato salad were tasty as well. The staff is friendly and helpful and I always get to go but the ambience is clean and welcoming.I highly recommend!

Huge sign says under new management. Eh. New or old, the Management needs to make sure to date/time stamp their prepared desserts. I'm mad I did not check my bag to peep they gave me OLD banana pudding! For the person that put it in my bag - you should be made to eat it. Even if you're not a fan of banana pudding, why would you give someone this yuck?! The display had fresher appeasing banana pudding which is why I got it plus they hadn't been open long. Otherwise, I would've skipped it.

This location is under new management and it shows. I believe whoever has taken charge was listening to the complaints. You no longer have "service with an attitude", teenage employees on their phones gossiping to friends, long wait times or Israeli portions of food. Service was courteous and professional. Food came out quickly. Portions sizes are perfect for the price. Food is well seasoned and tasty. Don't expect to come to a public establishment and get the same taste that your grandmother did in her kitchen. If you're looking for that go cook your own damn food! I ordered the barbecue beef ribs and they were very delightful. The meat was tender and juicy. The barbecue sauce was to my liking. I also ordered the mac & cheese, which is a little heavy on the cheese and I love that about this place. The candied yams were plenty sweet and the kind of consistency that I like. I like mine a little lumpy and that's what it was. This place has done a complete 180 degree turn from how it was being run before. I believe when a restaurant turns itself around you have to acknowledge that.

Stopped here while in town for a quick dinner. Almost didn't go in because there's not a lot of tables and we didn't see the booths. Boy am I glad we decided to go back and look again! Yummy! Yummy! My family all got the surf n turf which was 2 pieces of fish and 2 chicken wings, 2 sides and a roll. Wow it was a lot of food! It was served piping hot! I got the veggie platter with cabbage, potato salad, candied yams and mac n cheese. Everything was good. I wash they had boneless chicken breast. There was no boneless meat. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I met another customer whose name was Charles. It was his first time too but his friends recommend it. I told him if it wasn't good I would come looking for him. Rest easy Charles! I approve it wholeheartedly.

I chose Southern Blues for dinner from a Google search for restaurants near me.The pictures of the food and decor looked good.They were accurate! The food was delicious! My fish was fried fresh, the Mac and cheese was amazing and the collard greens were cooked perfectly.Service was also very good! From the nice young man who took my order to the sunny personality young woman who brought my food out!

Entered the location with my family after a fried chicken craving. The setting was simple a few booths and chairs. R & b played in the background while we waited.Service was great, friendly and patient as we picked our selections. We all ordered the fried chicken leg quarter meal. Sides we tried were Mac n cheese, collard greens, mash potatoes with turkey gravy and french fries. All meals came with a small corn bread that was moist & not super sweet. The Mac n cheese was gooey, the collard greens were in a great broth, the gravy and mash were so tasty. Family was definitely happy with the chicken and would love to try more so can't wait to go back!

I've been wanting soul food for awhile as my parents are from the south and it was staple growing up. I was iffy bout this place because of the reviews and potential mixups on food that seem to reoccur in their reviews. Lets start with they got my orders correct. That was a win. Now lets get into the food....Turkey wing entree - The gravy on the turkey wings is top tier. It's served over a bed of rice that compliments it nicely. It was probably my favorite- the wings has the perfect texture and was not extremely gelatinous like turkey wings can be. 4/5Pig Feet - cooked perfectly! Honestly, where can you get pig feet around here?? And when you do it's either bbq'd or pickled. This was neither...it was so refreshing and finger licking good. I got rice and candied yams. Rice was basic and yams were subpar. What made them candied?? 3/5 (pig feet carried this)Bbq wing dinner - Wings were soft....baked? Had to be. It was drowned in basic bbq sauce. Nothing special at all. Served with Mac n cheese- boring. Very bland and unappealing. Collard greens were average. This was disappointing. 2/5 Overall- it game me what i needed. I would say try it and see for yourself. I would go back and try other things but i wouldnt go out my way.

This place was absolutely DELICIOUS...I mean the flavors of the food were on point...nothing was lacking seasoning and nothing was overly seasoned...it's a joy to have an actual SOUL FOOD spot in the area that actually has DELICIOUS food...the service was amazing in all ways for sure...the lady behind the counter was very knowledgeable on the menu items and was very friend as well...it's very chill, laid back and CLEAN inside this establishment...That Strawberry Lemonade & Half & Half(PHENOMENAL) my goodness!10/10 for me and I definitely RECOMMEND

I've been to this location several times and the food is always good, seasoned well. I usually order online so I don't have to wait. The fried fish is my go to meal. The staff have always been pleasant and professional.

This restaurant food is so good I will recommend the Fried chicken and mac&cheese not on are they a good restaurant they provided amazing food to a local school as a community let's support places that supports the communit.
