South St Cafe

Nice little cafe conveniently located across the street from the Renaissance hotel. It's kind of hidden but they have a sign outside to let you know you're in the right place. Breakfast ends at 11 and I walked in at 10:56am so I just made it. The lady behind the counter was VERY welcoming. Before I even ordered anything she thanked me for stopping in. I went ahead and ordered an egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant. It was a simple order but such a delicious sandwich. The croissant was fresh and flaky and the cheese was nicely melted into the egg. I had her add a little jelly to the sandwich too which really made it perfect. They have a pretty large menu full of soups, sandwiches, salads etc. Inside there are also plenty of snack and bakery items for purchase as well as a large variety of both fountain and bottled drinks.You can eat inside and there are plenty of tables to do so but I chose to take my sandwich back to my hotel. My total was just under $5 so I paid in cash. For card payments there is a $5+ limit if you want to avoid an extra charge. I would love to come back here again and try out some lunch. Very nice staff, good prices and good food. A win.

This is by far the best diner in Baltimore. The service is awesome and the food is great. The owner really knows what he's doing.

Absolutely friendly customer service!The cute couple that run the convenience cafe are friendly and helpful. Fair prices for breakfast food on the go. Excellent place for a quick coffee or bite to eat, but make sure to find it (it is a hidden gem inside the building).

Small little deli run by a very nice husband and wife, I assume. Food is hot and fresh, coffee is surprisingly good.

Interesting place with very fast service and exceptionally accommodating staff. I just had some eggs and toast (not on the menu), but I'm really curious to try more. Korean bi bim-bap and their crab soup are very intriguing. Mostly take-out, so it was a good place to relax and enjoy my coffee.

This place is amazing. They are the sweetest people. They greet you they know your name and they have conversations with you while their cooking. The food is great and the ambiance is peaceful.

Great location just steps to the Inner Harbor and across from the Renaissance. Very nice people running the restaurant. Bagel was good. Nicely toasted with the perfect amount of cream cheese. Breakfast choices including pancakes. This place is known as a bul go GI or bi. I'm bop place, but they do a good breakfast and there isn't anything else in the blocks surrounding it. Will have to come back And try the lunch.

I was looking for a quick breakfast bite while I was in town for a conference. The staff were very welcoming when I walked in. My yummy breakfast sandwich was made incredibly quickly. The entrance is a little hard to find and it's not apparent that there is a cafe there, but once you do find it, it's worth it!

Wonderful family run cafe. I've been going there for 15 years. I don't know how the owners could be any nicer or more helpful. The food is great! Check out the daily specials on Facebook.

Friendliest owners/employees I've ever experienced. The food is always good and they make it incredibly fast.
