The bartenders are super nice! Always fetch me a drink when I'm waiting for my food to be ready. Love the short rib sandwich and great crushes.

The cocktails at Sobo Market are definitely one to try! Although I have not tried their food yet, I can say their drinks and service is absolutely great. I ordered "The Right Word" ($13) and my partner had the "The Gin Bramble" ($11). "The Right Word" was very light and refreshing with citrusy notes from the Lillet and lime and a hint of sweetness from the elderflower liqueur. This is definitely a drink to try on a warm, summers day. "The Gin Bramble" had berry vibes from the blackberry-raspberry gin and a slight tartness from the lemon juice and some simple syrup to add a bit of sweetness. The overall ambience of the place was chill vibes. They have a bar area, dining area, and outdoor seating as well. Our bartender, Dylan, was great and very knowledgeable about the menu. Although it was pretty busy, he did a good job attending to us and bringing out our drinks in a timely manner.

Cool place settled a little out of the way but not far away from all the happenings. I craved tacos and a good cocktail. After checking all the reviews, I decided, let's try this place. There was only one bartender and multiple tables occupied. Nonetheless, he was on it and provided great service. The music played was good. The place is very cute and has sitting inside and outside. The menu is fairly eclectic. So I got the shrimp tacos and based on the bartenders recommendations, a guava margarita (I craved something sour). He even decreased the simple syrup to give me a more sour taste. The margarita was on point! The shrimp tacos arrived in less than 10 minutes. It was cooked well (not overly dry or chewy), with good seasoning and pico de Gallo. The tacos themselves were a little overly dry, but overall, delicious! It came 3 small tacos. Exactly the right portion, with a lime to squeeze on it (make sure you squeeze that lime on there for enhanced flavors). Glad I came here! I highly recommend it if you want a chill and cool vibe with good service, food and drinks!

Puff pastry rolls and vanilla margarita in bottom right. Rolls were crisp and savory. The salsa verse on the side added an extra kick. Now, that vanilla margarita...that thang is something else...I need to know the recipe ASAP

This review is only about the food. I tried the short rib tacos, broccoli salad, mac-n-cheese, and the short-rib arepas. The meal was... mehhhh. The tacos weren't anything to write home about, and the broccoli salad was smothered in so much mayonnaise that I couldn't taste anything besides the mayo. The mac-n-cheese was average. The arepas were bland. I felt like they could have been more creative with using spices to help the flavors in the dishes blend. Everything sort of clashed. Bedsides the food, the place was designed well. It felt cozy. Maybe next time I'll just have a drink.- VVP

I'm disappointed to give Sobo Market only 3 stars. It was only ok. It's a small, neighborhood bar that we walk by all the time and wanted to try out.There was one bartender who was also the server for the whole place. It's a small place and he's probably all that was needed, but even so. It was possibly more crowded than usual (maybe 12 customers) because of the Thursday night football game, and he ignored us for so long we nearly left.In fact, he didn't bring us water or offer beer or anything, until another couple came and sat down, 10 minutes after us, and he took their order first? Not a huge deal, but at that point we had waited about 15 minutes for beer.The Mac and cheese was pretty good, but everything else was standard.I'd give it another shot because there's not many chill bars in the area, but overall, left feeling underwhelmed.

Very casual, fun ambiance. Went there late on a Sunday night and it was still rather busy! Good music and prompt service.Highly recommend the Aprepa (deliciously fried and crisp) and Pupusa (sour and fresh taste)!Also their ice cream cookie sandwiches are completely homemade! I love insomnia cookies, but this is SO much better...

SoBorific! Great drinks, great food, great company, best of all, my friend literally live right next door to SoBo Market! We started our night with a quick cocktail before heading out to town, ended up chilling for about an hour and just chatting up with the Bartender and the Owner. Classic Old Fashion is your friend! Also, I was sleepy before going out, I ordered a coffee to get my groove back, the bartender suggested I get a boozy coffee drink. He touched my heart!We went out for the night and since they were still open when we got back to the house, we ended up getting a night cap along with a Avocado Toast with Salmon. It was perfect, there were three of us and there were three toasts!!! Check them out, it's a little place, very intimate at the bar seating. Come on in and meet a new friend or hang out with the locals! Thursday is Vinyl night!

Good nachos and great crush prices. Also always have a specials menu. Bright inside, unlike many places in SoBo.

Best cocktails in South Baltimore! Great food/service and $7 Old Fashions can't be beat.
