I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the food was not very good. I got it for me and 2 Spanish guys and none of us cared for the taste of the chicken especially.I gave 3 stars because the staff was very nice. But I would not go back..

I come here on Tuesday evenings. On my way home from work in downtown Silver Spring. I've had the chicken with yucca, the pupusas, and the steak tacos. All have been excellent. The stand that really is the steak taco, so I highly recommend it.

Love this place! My fiancé has told me about their food and I have been hooked ever since. Always good quality and your food is always hot. The portion is decent for price you pay and they have never disappoint!

I can't believe that this pace has no reviews! I swear I wrote a review about a year ago, but I could be wrong. This is your local Peruvian chicken spot. I stumbled upon it one morning a while back and had breakfast. Today I had a quarter piece of chicken with black beans and plantains for around $8! Everything was good. I especially love the Peruvian sauces that they give you to accompany your chicken. You can tell they are having some problems during the pandemic, but they have staff on hand and food ready. I didn't see a lot of people going in and out for the 22 minutes I was there. I was actually the only customer. It was lunch time on a Thursday. I hope they make it because their food is pretty consistent.

This place is a hidden gem! I hope they survive the pandemic. It's similar to pollo silvestre in Hyattsville. I was hoping for the same flavor and it's exact. Steak is very overdone but the fajitas mixtas platter was absolutely delicious. The black beans are so flavorful. Surprised there isn't more on this place!

The food at Silvestre Chicken was amazing, and I ordered 2 Grilled chicken breast tacos with French fries, Cole Slaw, Calypso original Lemonade, and a Slice of Strawberry Swirl cheesecake for dessert.

It took me four years to consider Silvestre because I thought it was solely rotisserie chichen. Was I wrong. I don't eat meat but have tried their balaeda, assortment of seafood tacos, tilapia sub, yucca frita, and maduros. All were cooked to perfection. Their fish sub incluedes grilled fish NOT fried with real veggies that you can visibly see. Their yucca frita is never overly fried. The portion of seafood you get with the tacos makes you feel as if you are eating your daily portion of protein. You also get a spicy and mild sauce with your orders. Both are delicious. Give it a try.
