IF you live in Forest Hill -- there is no alternative for take-out chinese. Silver Palace is hands-down the best. All the people down there in steerage whining about the wait time??? Are you for real? Everything is made to order. The Kitchen is like, 9 square feet. They do everything they can to keep the orders going and they are friendly......oh by the way...the food is spectacular! So zip it.No.I said "Zip it".Here, I'll give you a tip.....(aside from "call ahead and learn some patience, your Mandarin is probably one HELL of a lot worse than her English).....no, i mean a real tippy tip. Something useful.I don't know this for a fact, but I'm presuming that there is a shift change for the cook around 3 PM F.H.S.T. (Forest Hill Standard Time) --- the cook BEFORE 3 PM has a much different definition of "spicy" than the cook after 3PM. So.....if you absolutely HAVE to watch Dr. Phil before getting your awesome Chinese take out....and you roll up at 4PM??? Bring some Tums.

Wow ....Ordered Chinese for the first time in many months today on New Years. The food was ok and very average, but the portions have shrunk like in half. We used to have leftovers and today barely enough to eat. Not a good value at all.

If I could give this sorry excuse of a restaurant half a star I could. You can't be calling yourself a Chinese restaurant while the food is nothing like other Chinese restaurants. Ordered hot and sour soup and what I got was a smelly broth that tasted nothing like soup. Food was not cooked right, General Tso Chicken tasted like it was dipped in honey and deep fried. Bourbon chicken was dry and tasteless. I would not recommend this place at all

Absolutely terrible all the way around. I ordered wonton soup and seafood lo mein. The soup was bland - both broth and dumplings. The lo mein was the worst I've ever tasted. The noodles were moderately dry (on the menu it indicated this dish was supposed to be spicy - it wasn't even a little spicy) and the small shrimp were over cooked and then there were tiny dark brown things I didn't even want to eat. . . . maybe dehydrated shrimp??? I really don't know what it was. The imitation crab meat tasted fishy. I won't order take-out from there again.

Used to be the best Chinese place in town for me- haven't been here for 3 yrs.. ownership changed? 15 min wait for take out ended up 40 min.. guy was getting call in orders .. he picked up phone and hung it up.. he did this 5 times at least! Ordered fried rice.. felt like tiny little pebbles in your mouth.. very bland and dry.. egg drop soup was like drinking water.. need to find a new go to Chinese take out

Of all the Chinese Food Carryouts I've tried in Bel Air, this one is the BEST! The prices are great, as well as, the service. They always take care of their regular customers.

The reason for the 2 star rating is based on the miserable experience ordering and picking up our food. The only reason it isn't lower is because we really like their food. Each and every time we order, we immediately regret it. The first time we ordered we had to repeat the order several times. The second time we got through the entire order, slowly, then we were passed on to someone else, and then passed on a third time. Each time we said the entire order. I'd understand if we were ordering several items and being picky but we ordered 2 combos and an appetizer. We tried a time after that and told them nevermind after the same passing off experience started. We just picked up an order of 2 crab wontons because I had a craving. Our order was $9.01 and when we went to pick it up, they said that they don't accept credit cards for orders under $10. We ordered over the phone and they didn't tell us this then. Plus, it is my understanding that VISA does not allow this "minimum" charge, you accept it or you don't.I really like their food but I think our strikes are up for Silver Palace and we will go elsewhere.

The service was terrible and the food was inedible. I ordered sechzuan chicken and couldn't hardly eat it. The chicken was rubbery and tasted old. The egg roll was small and the wrap was thick. The hot and sour soup was horrible. If there are any reviews with more than 2 stars in it, it's fake. I'll never come here again. Yuck!!!

If I could rate this dump zero stars I would. I am so pissed! I just called to order food for pick up. For the first time. The girl answering the phone was beyond rude! I was nice and polite- on the phone. I asked for fried rice and a spring roll with my combo for an up charge like it says on their menu for 50 cents and she called me crazy and told me to call somewhere else! What??? UNREAL!!! DO NOT GET FOOD FROM HERE! They will probably spit in your food.
