Side Street Cafe Restaurant

We've come here for 10 years. The food is excellent. We love the tasteful artwork on the walls in the small rooms. Very cozy with my special lunch date. We are glad to support a hard working family like this. Just say no to chains and you'll find gems like Side Street Cafe.

This is a Gem! We happen to have had a steak sandwich (which was the special that day) and our meal was fabulous! I keep going back - why because food is Terrific! And it's quaint! Enjoy!!!

Great food and customer service . I recommend the chicken Kabobs and cheese steak subs . Today my wife had the chicken kabob on rice and I had turkey on toast . I Never had a bad meal here !

I was really impressed by the food and service. We ordered delivery for lunch while I was helping a friend who lives nearby. It was so fast I couldn't believe it! The gyros were plenty of food and everything tasted fresh. I'd be happy to go there in person when I'm in the area.

Always a treat and never a disappointment. Decide stop in for lunch inasmuch as we were out shopping. This place is totally COVID19 compliant. After ordering your meal at the front of the building, you are shown to a table set with sealed plastic table ware. Water is bottled if you order water. The meal was outstanding. We both had the chicken kabob which was actually a deconstructed kabob served on "saffron" rice. Orders could be spicy, mild or medium. I went spicy and my wife chose medium. I had water and she had hot tea. We both thoroughly enjoyed or plates. Appeared to be only one server, but she was excellent...spot on. This Cafe is a hidden gem.

Chicken Gyro was delicious!This place is kinda hidden on the side of another building hence "Side Street" but has a lot of space inside. Nice when I feel like eating out for lunchDefinitely coming back to try their other sandwiches

ordered the chicken salad sandwich, it was great and ready quickly. they gave me ample condiments w my carry out order and napkins and utensils. even a lil piece of candy with it which i didn't order but was cute and sweet. it's quiet and unassuming tucked off the main road. the people working there were very nice and helpful. the entrance is on the side of the building if you have trouble finding it

My husband and I ordered from this location today as take away. I tried to call an order in but the phone was busy. When I arrived I saw that it was very busy and understood why the phone had a busy signal as many people were ordering at once. The lady behind the counter was really nice. I was a little apprehensive at first due to the clientele mostly being silver foxes, and if you are from the area, I didn't want this to be like a well known silver fox establishment that rhymes with TepperBill. Anyway....I had the chicken pita, my husband had the beef kabob meal, and we split an order of french fries and a cup of chili. My chicken pita was very messy but very good. It had honey mustard on it instead of tzatziki which I thought was really good. My husbands beef kabob meal was good but the beef was a little dry. The rice had really good flavor though. The french fries were crispy and good, but the chili was really good. Usually take away chili is eh, but this chili was really good. The portion sizes are really large as well. We will definitely order from here again.

Used to frequent this place often when I worked in the Cockeysville area. It had been about 5 years since I've been. Kept saying I need to try it again, and pretty disappointed that I did. Not sure what changed, and guessing that COVID did, but wow. From the distasteful food to charging for "water". I was really dissatisfied and hope one day they realize that if you want to charge more, make sure you satisfy more! Wish them the best.
