I was skeptical to try this place as my go to soup is literally a few steps from this. After trying this place, it's a MUST visit noodle house. I tried the pork broth with chicken karaage. It is so flavorful. Staff is friendly and very helpful navigating the menu.

I came by here on a Sunday night for dinner with a friend. There was no wait and you can easily find parking in the massive plaza Shi Miao Dao is located in. Hot Tea 5/5, classic hot tea, came in a large kettle so easily able to be used by multiple peopleFried Mini Milk Bun 4/5, though technically an appetizer, we used these as our dessert. They came out soft and fluffy with condensed milk to dip them in.Spicy Sliced Beef Rice Noodle 4/5, this is what I ordered. While definitely seasoned, this is more of a numbing spice than a burning spice sensation which I did not expect. It comes with everything on the side so that you can choose how much you want added into your soup which is nice as I like to add my noodles in a bit at a time so the soup isn't overly absorbedTomato Soup with Rice Noodles 4/5, my friend got this and enjoyed. He noted it was salty but he enjoys salty dishes.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon shortly after they opened, so it wasn't busy. Spacious and clean on the inside, only two stalls in the restroom. Parking was plentiful, lots of other businesses right next door. Outside wasn't much to look at and the decor was very simple. We were seated right away and given menus. Similar to a hot pot where you add sides that you want to a very hot broth. They bring your soup out in a ceramic bowl nested inside a plastic bowl so you don't burn yourself. You add the meat and quail egg first, your sides next, then your noodles.I ordered the spicy sliced beef rice noodle dish and it was very good! Our first time here, but we will definitely be returning.

We were so pleasantly surprised with this place! We were in the area and wanted to pick up food to go (we had our pup with us) to take home to eat. This showed up on Yelp, and I was happy they do take out orders. I will say, once I placed my order, they hadn't asked for my email so I didn't get a confirmation or reciept at first. I was a little weary, but they had my order all ready when I got there.Everything was packaged very neatly. We made the 30 minute trip home and sat down immediately to eat. The noodles had a genius take out container. A large black container where the noodles were in its own tray that snapped into place on top of the soup. It kept the noodles slightly warm so it didn't congeal together either. We got 2 of the original beef brisket noodle soups, edamame, and 2 rice balls (fried chicken and chicken/seaweed). I honestly felt like I was in a movie when I took that first sip of soup - legit like in Ratatouille when the food critic takes his first bite of the Ratatouille and he goes back to childhood. That soup was like home and super cozy. It was so flavorful. My husband and I weren't super hungry, but we couldn't stop eating. The rice balls were super tasty too. I love the seaweed salad in the chicken/seaweed rice ball. We also got a brown sugar milk tea with boba and a mango passion fruit tea. Both were good as well. I'd make the 30 minute trip back here in a heart beat. I need to try the rest of the soups and have it when it's piping hot. If it's that good when it's just warm-ish, I can't imagine how amazing it is super hot. I can't wait to come back. I have to bring my parents and siblings here. I legit almost called this place up to tell them how much I loved the food.

LOVE all the mi xian that we have tried here! Eating in is a better experience with the sides and hot pot. The rice balls are not worth the price in my opinion, but the noodles are a must try!

Great food. Surprisingly cheap for the quantity and quality. Servers are friendly and helpful, but there can be a bit of a languages barrier at times. This spot is tucked away behind the taco bell/ KFC off Snowden. Nestled next to Bonheur Bakery and near the An Loi. Inside is clean and has comfortable seating. Not too close to your neighbor, but close enough to compare what they order. We've ordered different items and enjoyed them all. The soups have a very flavorful broth and lots of filling. The rice balls are kinda meh. The shumai was a surprising favorite. Will be looking forward to coming back and try a different broth.

Very unique style of soup noodles. Certainly a welcome variation of soup noodles. The tomato based soup is the best. I enjoy the presentation and seeing the different ingredients in little plates before we dump them into the piping hot soup. Honestly, 1 order is enough for 2 people, so you leave some room to the numerous delicious appetizers! This is one of those reataurants you need to go to at least once or twice a month. A welcome addition to all my comfort food places in Columbia!

The perfect hot soupy goodness on a cold rainy day. They have a wide variety of soup bases that have varying level of spiciness. Our group ordered a variety of noodle soups and they were all delicious regardless of spice level. All the soups came with a generous portion of meat and vegetable sides. The beef brisket was flavored well and wasn't too overpowering. The consistency was more like a stew rather than bbq pieces and they still had the tendons attached. For chicken there was the option of having bone in or out. The extreme heat flavor wasn't too spicy and had a good kick, but the waitress said the spice levels could be adjusted so you can make it as spicy or less spicy as you want. Everything came out very fast and all the workers were very attentive since it was our first time. They helped us go through the menu and made recommendations based on what flavors we liked. Throughout the meal they checked on us, making sure everything was going well.

For what this place is and the pricing it's not bad. I love the concept of it and how the menu is extremely straight forward. I went with the spicy and sour soup and although it was pretty good it just lacked any specific flavor of being sour. On the other end was my boyfriend who got just the spicy and his broth had a much richer flavor almost like Tom yum hot pot. Pricing is good and the service is quick.

Amblin' up I-95, we happened upon Shi Miao Dao Noodle House and decided to stop in for some good eats. Here's the way it works - you order a broth, then they bring out the rice or noodles and all the fixins to toss in the broth, which is super heated so that it cooks any meat or seafood and gets deep into the veggies. We got the spicy rice noodle broth and a mushroom vegetarian broth. Yummy! The spicy broth was deep and had a nice bite, tasty with the crunch of fresh veggies dropped in alongside the slick, chewy noodles. The mushroom broth was deep and umami-icious. We left with stomachs full and satisfied, and only one question on my mind - was I sweating because it was spicy, or because it was sizzling? Probably both. But the only way to find out is to go back, which is what I plan to do!
