Seoul Soondae is located at the food court inside Lotte market. It has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for enjoying a satisfying meal. The staff are friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience every time. My go-to dishes here are the soondae bokum, somuri kugbap, and gamja tang, all of which are consistently excellent! The soondae bokum has perfectly cooked blood sausage. It's a dish that's bursting with umami and has just the right amount of heat. The somuri kugbap, a hearty soup with tender beef and savory broth, is incredibly comforting. You have to add the spicy flakes into it for a flavorful kick! The gamja tang is a pork bone soup with spicy broth and tender pieces of pork that fall off the bone.I highly recommend checking out Seoul Soondae and trying out some of my go-to favorite dishes!

Finding myself again craving their small soondae platter, we ordered a small portion to-go. The dish came with a side of white rice, daikon, kimchi, and spicy sauce- I was a bit disappointed to discover either the small platter doesn't come with the pork trotter-ot they just forgot it, but we did get ample fresh sausage so no woes. The sausage was fresh, with the exact rich, meaty, chewy, spicy flavor profile I was hoping for. We ate a fair amount and still had ample for leftover dishes.

This place is located inside the food court of Lotte Plaza. One of the items I get most often is the gamjahtang. It is a hearty soup made with neck bones and potatoes I believe. This time I did carry out. It wasn't as good as I remembered but to be honest, it's been awhile and I forgot how I liked it. I usually eat it there and it comes out piping hot and then I add additional seasoning mixture of coarse salt and Korean pepper flakes. That was my mistake. Now I need to order again just to experience it as I remember liking it.

My go to soondae soup place! Located inside a Lotte market food court, Seoul soondae has really good soondae in the Maryland area. I usually get the Soondae soup combo that comes with a side of soondae. They give you a decent amount of soondae on the side and I really like the soup as well. It's a pretty popular spot and every time I go, there's a lot of customers -- but the wait is short and service fast. Not a place you'd drive far for, but if you live in the area and want some soondae soup, this place is it!

This place is inside the old Lotte plaza and it's a hit or miss for us. We always get the soondae soup in white broth and the pork trotter but depending on who's taking the order, you might end up with the bean paste broth for the soup. The food is delicious but the service does need some work. As a Korean, I order in Korean asking for the white broth soondae soup and sometimes I'll still end up with the bean paste soup. Once, I made the mistake of not checking before leaving because they wrapped it up so tight and ended up with 3 wrong soups.

I haven't been to Seoul Soondae for a while. The restaurant used to be the only place to get soondae in the area (this was years ago when trendy Korean food was on the rise). Recently went back for some soondae soup combo and was disappointed. The quality has gone down. You could tell that the soondae was old and stale, and the soup was lacking in flavor.I read other reviews about the poor customer service. I have to agree that they aren't the friendliest, but you can't take it personally- they did not have the best customer service to begin with, but their food (in the past) made it worthwhile.

So disappointed. Food is not fresh. It was like frozen food from lotte and thaw and selling it.

The best food stall in this Lotte market food court in my opinion. It is very hard to find soondae around this area and theirs taste the closest to the ones I had in Korea.

Definitely satisfied our quarantine craving for jokbal and soondae. We haven't had these dishes in so long. Both dishes were larger than we thought. The small soondae was 10$ where as the large was 13$ (my husband said we should have ordered the large). The jokbal was 25$ for a large vs 15$ for the small size. We have plenty left over between the two of us. Even our toddler baby ate some soondae! Lol. Five stars because the price seemed reasonable, food was satisfying, and pick up was quick. Our fave jokbal and soondae spot in ec closed down a while ago so I guess this is our new go to for these dishes.

The food there is good...the worker can be a little judgmental if you're young/non Korean so the service can vary. There's not much to say about the ambiance except there are seats and they'll give you plates instead of to go container.
