Seafood in the Buff

Not only do they occasionally include dead crabs into your order, this time they tried to substitute mediums when I purchased Large. With over a $30 difference, this is robbery!Do not give this business your business, go into Rockville and use Cameron's Seafood for your crab needs.

Let's just say that I was so upset with the crabs from the Germantown truck. We called and wanted to order 3 dozen large crabs. The lady said payment would be required before the order would be steamed. The crab lady was extremely rude when confronted about the size and price. When the crabs were opened at my son's house, we were all shocked to see how small they were. Going through the box we found 6 decayed crabs. It was embarrassing! How these people could say they were large, I don't know. I wish I had the picture. It was terrible. We also ordered 2 lbs of steamed shrimp (they were delicious.) Never ever will I go back to this location. The total price was $385 for the order. It's too bad that I had to post this review.

The crabs have usually been good but today we ordered 1/2 dozen large males for $80, got home to eat them, and the crab meat was soft and mushy. As a crab connoisseur, we know good crabs are firm and juicy. These could have been overcooked or cooked after the crabs were dead. My complaint is the Truck Owner denied that the crabs were poor and instead insisted that they were good. She would not consider a refund or anything else. This is unacceptable. If you go there, take your chances that you might pay hundreds of dollars and possibly get a bad batch and no compensation. I will attempt a refund from my AMEX.

What a bummer! Waaaaay over-salted steamed spiced shrimp were $30 of inedible. Only giving them one star 'cause I have to have at least one to be able to post a comment. Standing there waiting for my order, I noted the posted sign, "NO RETURNS ON COOKED FOOD". I wondered why they had to post a sign...apparently I'm not the only one who felt the need to return their crappy food! I thought if I told her what was wrong with her product she'd feel bad and want to do something to turn around an unhappy customer. She practically laughed at me. Wow. Won't be going back there again.

They are selling previously frozen crabs. The smell seemed off and the whole family got food poisoning after. Their service is terrible and seems racist. Treated the people next to us differently. What do you expect from a food truck selling crabs.

The crabs were VERY mediocre the first time I went last summer. I'd get way better crabs in Harford County where I normally get them.I went again today and it was $30 for 1/2 doz of "reg" males. They were def better than last time. Not very heavy but satisfied my craving for crabs!

Such bad reviews almost made me not order 1/2 bushel of large crabs for $250. My family was quite satisfied and pleased with the crabs here, which made me feel quite happy, picking this place for our crab feast. I would give it 5 stars, if the crabs were a little sweeter and when I asked the lady where the crabs are from, she said Canada? Now that's a first. Out of the 50+ crabs, 3 were the ammonia smell and light as a feather. Maybe 5 were more on the smaller size (not large), but overall I recommend this place for higher quality larger crabs compared to other places like Cameron's, who only sell #1 mix.

If I could rate no stars I would. The crabs was disgustingly terrible. Very light and not meaty. $78 down the drain. Was skeptical of them from my last experience, but I had taste for crabs. I will never patronize this business again. I would take the drive to The Wharf in DC..

Absolutely the worst experience ever stay away from this place there's a lot more bad reviews coming who witnessed these baby crabs witch clearly weren't large like I was promised by the way it's illegal to sell baby's like seriously I'm going threw bank to get my refund enough said there's zero itemization on my receipt from marrgieita grill witch isn't even were I ordered from this place is all out of wack STAY AWAY we threw away 6 decayed baby's an plus the half bushel was short 5 crabs I can go on an on but unfortunately I have a life unlike these clowns

Thrilled that they are back open!!! Thank goodness we were able to get our crabs for Mother's Day. Steaming hot, fresh, HEAVY and delicious. Got two pounds of the jumbo shrimp and sweet corn as well. So good!! They always throw in extra seasoning in addition to whats already sprinkled on top if you ask for it. Solid place. Cant wait to go back for Memorial day!
