Best calamari in town! And don't get me started about the herby marinara!
The decor is fun and pretty.

Sammy's is our favorite pizza in town! It's got a great little dining room, or is perfect for taking a slice to go, or order dinner for the whole family. We go here multiple times a month. ALWAYS spotlessly clean and friendly employees.

I met a friend for lunch today at Sammy's. It was my first visit. They have quite a large menu. You place your order at the counter, and they bring your food out to the table. I intended to order a salad, but I was distracted by the pizza they had already made up that was in the warming case by the register. You can order just a slice or two, and the pizza slice size was very generous. They had a loaded broccoli pizza, with fresh chopped tomatoes and some red onion. It was cheesy and delicious, and I still got the veggies. I gobbled it up while we visited & I forgot to even take a picture. I'll be back for sure.(We decided to have our monthly lunch group meet at Sammy's, so I was back there again today. They have great salads, too. I had the portobello mushroom salad and a friend had the salad topped with salmon).

The food was great. Creamy linguini carbonara sauce with lots of ham and some bacon was a terrific lunch portion size was just right. Bread brought to the table was basic. The service was a mix order at the counter and food is brought out to you. Seating area has a nice vibe.

Hands down the best authentic pizza we've had in Maryland! We go almost every Friday for our date nights and we get the same thing every time--a large pizza, half Caprese & half Godfather, with a side order of the best fried calamari. The sauce that the calamari comes with is perfection. And the food always comes out piping hot and pretty quickly! We love our Sammy's, a staple in Annapolis.

The workers couldn't understand us. We heard great things about the Italian food but our grandma style pizza was okay. It tasted a lot better the next day. We wanted more sauce on the pizza so we asked for extra sauce of the same type that they put on our pizza but they gave us their standard one which did not taste good at all. The seating area however was so cute, and just the Italian vibes we were looking for!

Walk in and just grab a menu to see all their goodies and what to eat. You smell all the classic warm aromas when you walk in. Had to try the garlic knots since everyone have been raving about them. I give them a 4/5, they are great bite size snacks and a little salty and brushed with garlic. Marinara sauce is more on the thinner side, which I personally like as a dipping sauce. Make sure to eat the knots when they are hot since they cool quickly and are a little more crunchy/dried out as they sit. I ordered a calzone stuffed with meat and cheese, and watched them make it to order! It just came out smoking hot from the oven. I wish I had asked for them to brush garlic butter on the top of the calzone, but it is a crispy crust if that's your thing. It is stuffed with meat and cheese, definitely a bang for your buck. Everything would have been a star higher (4/5) if the person taking my order had washed his hands before making my calzone. Or used gloves, either or. Probably won't be back just cuz of that, even if food tasted good. Jake

This is the best pizza in Annapolis. The friendly and familiar faces of the employees really have made this place feel like a welcoming establishment in our neighborhood over the years. Again, the pizza is never greasy, always crisp and not too heavy. The crust is the right balance of sweet and salty bread. I also love their pasta dishes. Always served with a smile!

I went in once to try them out and just bought the bread and it was delicious, so I called them to place an order. He hung up on me after I asked the usual inquiries to get rates on what I wanted to get. He said I was asking too many questions. I just asked how much a small and large pizza would cost; when I asked how much the pizza and breadsticks would cost, he got agitated. I also asked what time they closed so I could make sure I could arrive in time.. He ended the call. To behave in this manner, as though he owned the restaurant, the person on the phone must have felt entitled. When I followed up, he claimed that I had asked him too many questions and had a bad attitude. For me, this encounter was a huge turnoff because, in my opinion, customer service comes first. I'm not going back there ever.
