First time coming here and we were meeting friends and super excited because of hearing such good things. Parking was a nightmare, we basically just drove around in circles for 20 minutes. Finally got a spot, came inside and saw as soon as we walked in that they were slammed. Was told it would be about 20 minutes so we put our name in and was given a beeper. There was really nowhere to stand to wait it was so crowded and the front area is tiny and we could tell we were in the way of the staff and also other guests so we took the beeper and sat in our cars. 20 mins went on and our beeper never went off so we we took inside and met our friends. Told them we had waited and was quickly seated. The restaurant is beautiful and much bigger than you think it's going to be. We were given menus when we sat down and we were excited to eat. 30 mins went by with no further service. No hello, no waters, no plates, no nothing. We finally got the attention of a server who apologized profusely for taking so long and took our drink orders and got them out quickly and then took our food orders. We all got beer and asked for waters but we never received the waters. Typically not a big deal but things add up. After that he came back out with a complimentary appetizer which was phenomenal. Our sushi came out fairly quickly but without plates, napkins, chopsticks, silverware and we were all ready for another drink. No one ever came back so our friend went and got plates and silverware and napkins somewhere. Not sure where but he got them in 2 seconds lolThe sushi was truly fantastic. Our waiter came to clear the table and we asked for another round of drinks. He brought them out quickly. Look, this place IS great. The sushi is phenomenal and the service, when we did get it, was great. Pack your patience. We went on a Friday night at 6pm. I don't think we will do that again any time soon but I would be very happy to come here again, maybe for lunch on a weekday.

The place Mount Airy has needed!As we waited for our table a customer left raving about how we would not be disappointed!They weren't wrong.Absolutely awesome! Foods great, atmosphere is great and the people are fantastic. Our new favorite place has arrived!

Very spontaneous night out, got seated quick on a Thursday night. Staff was pleasant, miso soup was amazing and so were the Nachos. I am not a big fan of green onions in my sushi so just be aware of some textures in your sushi if you don't care for them either. It was our second try after ordering out our first time, and am glad we did! Solid choice. Ambiance was not terrible but I am not a fan of lights that shine right into my face , close to requiring a baseball hat! But it's just something that for me personally makes a huge impact. (We sat in the first room). We will come back!

Finally, Mt. Airy has the sushi spot it deserves! Nestled in this beautiful, rural area of working farms and stables, Saltwater Kitchen & Sushi is a breath of fresh air. The need for an authentic sushi experience was real, and they've delivered. The sushi chef is clearly knowledgeable, the staff is fantastic, and the ambiance is just right. Highly recommend!

A welcomed sushi spot in the Mount Airy area. Fresh sushi with greats options to choose from. Their hibachi menu also has great options. The service was fast and friendly for a new restaurant.

Nice ambience and good food. Service was a bit spotty and prices a tad steep. Hubby loved the seafood tower - picture is of the petite tower. We were told the grande would be the same but with another level. Will go back but can't say this would take me away from the other sushi place in town.

Very comfortable, quaint ambiance and the menu has a great selection of sushi, rice and noodle dishes. We shared the Amazing Tuna and Lion sushi and shrimp lo mein. Friendly, hospitable staff surprised us with a complimentary dessertSeveral friends have visited here and rave as well!

Had a very nice lunch. Service was pleasant and attentive. The sushi rolls were all very good and the seafood pancakes as a starter were a big hit. Can't wait to go back for dinner and try the much wider menu.

Love the inside of this restaurant. We were seated on the side where the fireplace is. There are many different areas to be seated in and every room has a different feel. The food was delicious. We also got complimentary lobster nuggets and miss soup that were yummy. I would go back again.
