First time dining at Sally O's and definitely not our last! What a hidden gem, we absolutely LOVED our dinner here! Both cocktails were great. I'm not usually a gin fan but the Murder Hornet was fantastic! We started with the Sally's Mac and Cheese and Carnitas Quesa-Tacos. Both were excellent and we'd definitely get them again in the future. I had the CrabOnara and it was loaded with crabmeat! Great flavor. My fiancé loved the Smashburger as well! It was massive and the sauce was fantastic. Those truffle fries were the star of the show! And what better way to end a meal than a slice of birthday cake?! More restaurants should offer that! Our server, Molly, was attentive and friendly! The restaurant itself had such a cozy vibe with all of the lights and decor.

All the bartenders are super fun. You can tell theyre all friends and most people that come to this bar are locals, so it's was a great environment both times we went. The owner of this shop was a chef-contestant on a cooking show (I can't remember which one though) and the food definitely proves that. If you go, I highly recommend the tacos!

Okay, so we decided to go here lastnight for a drink or two. It was around 9ish pm on 12/22/24. Remind you we have been here before. We walk inside. A man sitting at the bar right by the door says "Hey! Welcome back!" Loud and enthusiastically. In my head I was like "wow." Cause the last time we were here he didn't interact and we were lowkey anyways. So I'm surprised he remembered us. I definitely appreciated it though cause good service here in Baltimore is a once in a lifetime thing. He also says, "we don't have any food. But, you all are welcomed to come in and have some drinks" We didn't come for food anyways. We walked towards the bar. At this moment, I hear one of the bartenders say something like "wait, what's going on here" then he comes to us and says, "sorry, we're closed for a private event. We're not usually opened today anyways" We were just like okay....? That whole interaction was weird and sus af. Cause why did the owner, manager, or whoever he is told us otherwise? So you don't know what's going on in your restaurant and you're sitting in there? Get it together. He coughed up a weak "sorry" and that was it. But uh, yeah. I don't see myself going back tbh.

Sally O's is a hidden gem!!! We attended for restaurant week and birthday celebration. All of the menu items were enticing to try. I had the French onion ravioli that was not quite what I expected in taste but was good nonetheless. The wings....amazing. The hospitality from the staff was top tier. They were so welcoming and friendly. Keep in mind it's a small space. Reservations are best to ensure you can get a seat. I love the decor and the lights. I'm a sucker for a fun ambiance. The outdoor heated patio option got me as well!! I can't wait to return and possibly sit outside.

This spot is so cute! I'm not sure what took me so long to come here. The inside is bright and colorful with fun decorations. The dining area is pretty small with a few tables, one booth, and a bar. They also have some outdoor seating as well. I would describe the menu as elevated bar food. Definitely some hearty options as well as a few salads. On this particular night, they had some specials which looked delicious as well. We got the caesar salad and the wings. The caesar had shaved brussels sprouts and cubed butternut squash making it a really unique take on a caesar. It was delicious - I loved the crunchiness of the brussels. The wings were slathered in a combination sauce of buttermilk, garlic and herbs, green buffalo sauce, and a peruvian yellow sauce. There was a lot of flavors going on! They were good but a little odd. I would've loved the choice to choose one of those sauces as opposed to having them all compete with each other. The service was friendly and fairly fast as well. I didn't have any cocktails but those looked yummy too. I'd definitely return!

Food: Hands down one of the best spots in Baltimore. The smashburger is tried & true and one of the few staples in an otherwise evolving seasonable menu. Same with the wings. Green beans are phenomenal, they must be cooked in the fat from the burgers and they are crispy and salty and addictive. We tried the burrata with sweet potato butter and homemade focaccia - so, so good. Great selection of wines and fancy, seasonal cocktails. Service: fast, friendly, attentive. Ambiance: both interior and exterior are so cute.

Honestly my flabber is gasted that I have neglected to write this review for so long. I swear I told you guys about how amazing Sally O's is. There is nothing on the menu or off the menu for that matter, that I've tried that wasn't absolutely delicious. When people ask where they should go or what's my current favorite restaurant, I say this place without hesitation. The space is cozy and I love the decor. The menu is inventive, unique, and most of all delectable. I've come for brunch and had a variation on chicken and waffles and short rib hash. I've come for drinks and apps and had really wonderful cocktails and the most flavorful chicken wings. I've come for dinner and dessert; who doesn't want a giant slice of cake even if it isn't their birthday. I've come for Restaurant Week where you get specials that aren't normally on the menu and had the most incredible porchetta I've had in . . . ever? They really haven't treated me wrong (knocks on wood) yet.Uniquely Baltimore

Sally O's is the kind of place that makes you wish you had two stomachs. We started with the Mac & Cheese, which was pretty good--comforting, cheesy, and just the right amount of creamy to make you question why you ever considered giving up carbs. Then came the Carnitas-Quesa Tacos, which were so packed with flavor I half-expected them to come with a passport stamp. If you're a fan of wings, let me just say, "Your New Favorite Wings" aren't kidding. The mustard gave them that little extra zing that made me contemplate ordering a second round just for me.We also tried the Lunchbox Beets, which turned out to be a delightful surprise. I mean, who knew beets could be so... fun? They were like the cool kid on the vegetable playground--earthy, sweet, and just the right amount of tangy. And as for drinks, I ordered "What A Piña Colada Should Taste Like," and let me tell you, that name does not lie. It was like sipping sunshine in a glass, and I may or may not have considered ordering another just to keep the summer vibes going. Sally O's, you've officially raised the bar for my dining expectations!

Sally O's is a consistent top restaurant for me in Baltimore. Still the best Mac & cheese in the city! I enjoy the seasonal dishes they make as well. The service is consistently solid with friendly servers and bartenders. The indoor and outdoor seating is beautiful and the decor is stunning. I love the bathroom decor too!!

Sally O's is a small spot in Highlandtown. It was open during the pandemic shutdown by a Top Chef alum and made it through. It was definitely on my carryout rotation of restaurants to support .Now to the food and drink. Sally O's has their old fashioned on tap. I almost feel like I can stop there but I will go on. They have other innovative and tasty cocktails. My favorite dish is the CrabOnara. Yup that is carbonara (one my favorite dishes period) with crab. The pasta is perfect and the creaminess of the sauce along with an egg ranks with any Italian restaurant. The Smash Burger is a very popular dish. I know everyone has a smash burger now but Sally O's was the first restaurant I remember having one. The best way to describe it is an elevated In and Out Burger-double double monster style. The hash browns pictured seem like they would be simple but to think of putting caviar and sour cream on them is really a game changer. It's the perfect combination you didn't know could exist. The regular steak is a 12oz ribeye, dry aged for 28 days with frites and green beans. The steak for two is 32oz!! You are asked for temperature and I will die on the only temperature is Medium Rare hill. At the temperature, this steak melts in your mouth. There also a steak sauce to dip it in that is also delicious.Make a reservation and check out this neighborhood bar.
