Salerno's Restaurant & Catering

My family has been coming here since we've been in the area and are always very impressed! While we're seafood fans and tend to come here during crab season, I was in the mood during the winter before I temporarily move abroad (to somewhere with seafood nowhere near as good), so we stopped in. We started with oysters which were part of the specials, so we brought our usual dozen up to 16. What a great choice -- we were very impressed! They were served with horseradish and cocktail sauce, both of which had a great kick that enhanced the flavor. We also ordered crab cakes and sandwiches, all of which came out quickly. I opted for a crab cake with a side of potato salad and the vegetable medley and thought it was great! While the vegetables were fine, the potato salad was some of the best I've ever had. The crab cake was perfect, my dad agreeing with his order. His came with onion rings, which were very well done. My mom opted for a steak and cheese sandwich and thought it was great! She got it with fries, which were delicious. Overall, spot-on with the food and great service, super quick. Can't wait to sit back in the outdoor seating area and pick crabs when it's warm out!

The entire experience at Salerno's was top notch. From the moment my husband and I walked in to the second we left, EVERYTHING was great. Great waitresses, excellent food (OMG the corn and hush puppies!!!!), and especially tge crabs!We had 10 extra large and 2 jumbo (oh, and a dozen large steamed shrimp). I honestly could eat all of my crabs, that's how meaty and filling they were. Thank you, Salerno's, for a great summer evening. Will most definitely be back!

Four of us visited last evening, 7-14-24. Great crab cakes, cold shrimp & grits and fried shrimp with a thick, heavy batter.Oh yeah, the hush puppies were almost burned but they did have a great flavor once I figured out how to bite into them. I'd definitely go back. Maybe it was an off night or the kitchen crew were all stoned or something. The server though, was more than attentive.

Plenty of parking, easy to locate, waitress very attentive. Food was good -had appetizer mussels and clams and the drinks were exactly what I needed just a little pricey! I will come back to actually give a better review as I wanted the crabs but after looking at the sizes I was no longer interested for the size shown/price matchup.

Restaurant atmosphere was very nice and Staff was very professional provideding quick service . We had the Crab Dip Pizza which turned out to be very disappointing. Will certainly return again but we will get something else.

We went for the special that day half dozen of crabs, crab soup, corn & 3 tenders they were sold out of big boys so we got the mix for $27 was well worth the money & our waitress was very friendly

Good food enjoyed the md creamy crab soup delicious and hot! Cheesecake smooth and delicious seafood options great. Staff was courteous and friendly took the time to make us feel informed about options. Return trip in the future!

Salerno's provided some of the food for my father's funeral. Bruce took the time to listen to our families needs during a time of sorrow. He was kind and courteous. Everything was set up upon our arrival and maintained throughout. This helped us spend time with the visiting family & friends. Consider Salernos for your next catering need. Jen Green

A completely average restaurant if you are not having crabs. I had the fried shrimp, vegetable medley and fries. The fries were good. The vegetable medley was broccoli, baby carrots and cauliflower. I would not get this again and there was nothing special about it. My fried shrimp were overcooked and too firm. Not worth $24 for sure. Our wait person was inattentive and we spent lots of time waiting to leave. I did see other wait staff there that paid lots more attention to their table.

Service depends on the server. Food was okay but found it bit pricey for what it was. Not sure if I ever go back.
