Oooooo, I like! I don't know what took me so long, but I finally found my way to the Baltimore peninsula. One of my friends was on my side of town so we decided to do dinner at Rye Street Tavern. I was impressed from the moment I walked through the doors. The staff was friendly. Everybody greeted us and especially our server Nick. He accommodated all of our needs, answered all of our questions, and even gave us advice regarding the menu which was very helpful. We both ordered the sea-cuterie, which was amazing! It's the seafood take on a charcuterie board. GET IT?! SEA- cutierie! Lol. It came with three amazingly large shrimps, crab meat in butter sauce, toast to soak up the better, and oysters rockafella. What else do you need? Well, I'll tell you what you need. The espresso martini. It was delicious. Of course they use the Sagamore liquors, but you can have them replaced the whiskey with vodka, which is what I did. By the way, the place is huge. They have a downstairs, upstairs, several bar areas. It's like your dining in a mansion. There were a lot of people in there and as the night went on the vibe got progressively loud but, not overwhelming. The whole area, the Baltimore Peninsula, is a vibe and I'm glad I finally made my way down there! But the rice Street tavern is a gem. It has its own parking lot, but that was full. On my way out I managed to snag a spot as somebody had just left. There's plenty of parking in the whole area, but you may have to walk a few steps if their parking lot is full. The view is amazing. I saw some kayaks there so there may be a rental place there as well. But that's for another post. But he definitely need to check out Rye Street Tavern!Oh, and I got the bread pudding to go. I love me a good bread pudding and this one did not disappoint!

FOOD- 5/5. I got the chicken bowl and it was FANTASTIC. Our waiter recommended it to me and I'm so glad I went with it. I was a bit shocked when I saw that there were apple slices in it but it pulled everything together so nicely. A mixture of sweet and savory. Definitely recommend this dish if you're looking for something light but filling and flavorful!SERVICE- 4.5/5. I would say he checked up on us a bit too frequently? Very grateful for his attentiveness but it almost felt as if he wanted us outAMBIANCE- 5/5. Amazing. No florescent lighting. Plenty of seating areas. I believe there's a lower bar and an upper bar. Great experience overall. Definitely will be back

First time here, after getting rave reviews from friends/family members. Couldn't get a seat at the bar because there were too many patrons congregating in front of it (not seated, but blocking the seats). The table my husband and I got was wobbly and right behind the standing/drinking patrons.Ordered gumbo and squash soup. Average on both. Drinks were good, though a limited beer selection.Bread was best part of what I ate.Husband orders codfish appetizers and we shared crab and artichoke dip (not a lot of crabmeat).Waitress was very accommodating.Maybe it's better with warmer weather and seated outside.

Stopped at Rye Street Tavern for a quick bite to eat and really enjoyed my brunch meal. I have never been to this tavern before and was very expressed with the customer service and their affordable brunch menu. Many people came here either dressed up or in casual wear. This is such a nice Tavern with great food and views of the water.I will come back for their brunch again as I had a pleasant time.

What a disappointing combination of poor service and lackluster cuisine. We came to celebrate a family member's birthday and left incredibly underwhelmed. Having dined at Rye Street pre-pandemic, we were excited to return for the first time since its re-opening. I should have known that the night was going in the wrong direction when we were seated nearly 30min beyond our reservation. The service throughout the meal was mediocre at best. The waitstaff did not feel present or attentive, taking significant time to take our orders, return for check ins, etc.The drink menu was fine, but nothing earth shattering. I tried two red wines, both of which lacked much character. For starters, we shared the Warm Parker House Rolls (warm? Try room temp and haphazardly thrown on a plate), Fried Chicken Wings, Orange Marmalade Glazed Carrots and Salt-Roasted Red Beets. The chicken wings got a thumbs up from the meat eaters at the table. As the vegetarian, I found the carrots and beets to be quite lackluster. Orange Marmalade? I didn't get a hint of orange citrus on the carrots. The beets (truly roasted?) tasted more pickled than anything else. For the mains, two members of our party ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, which received strong marks. I went with the Butternut Squash Campanelle, which was probably the strongest bite of the night for me. The pasta was al dente and reasonably fresh tasting. The finely diced butternut added a nice textural component to the dish and subtle sweetness. I found the amount of Gruyère and Parmesan a bit heavy though, and had to throw in the towel about halfway through. The Chicken and Mushroom Fettuccine was similarly found to be reasonable flavorful but heavy. At the end of the meal, a Salted Caramel Bread Pudding order was brought out with a candle. This was quickly tossed on the table with no "Happy Birthday" or acknowledgement. While tasty, this presentation left us with a sour aftertaste.Overall, I don't think we'll be back anytime soon. There are far better options in the Bmore food scene.

Needed a place for a statewide meeting and Rue Street is easily accessible from the hwy. There are private rooms with minimum charge. For 8 people we were on the bubble of hitting that charge but went with a table in the bar instead. Waiter was excellent and personable. Foot was great. Tots and pork belly was all pork belly perfectly sliced and cooked. The tot squares were good, different from expected and only a few of them. Scallops and grits had amazing scallops, flavorless grits and no gravy. Still a dish worth trying. The winning piece is the view and the setting. Successful event complemented by the restaurant.

Had dinner here for the first time with my little sister. The restaurant is on the water and is beautifully decorated inside. Our server was extremely friendly though a bit slow. The food was tasty! We shared the parker house rolls with honey butter to start. My sister got the chicken fingers with fries, we shared a side of baked mac and cheese and I had the single crabcake entree. I had a lemon drop martini as my cocktail and we shared a brownie sundae for dessert.

I love the food and drinks here at Rye Street Tavern. They are not overly priced, but they offer high quality menu items. I got an Aperol Spritz and they added a dehydrated blood orange, which I thought was a classy touch. I also got their Market Salad ($16), which came with candied walnuts, Asian pear, apple slices, and cheese. The white balsamic vinaigrette was the perfect addition of acidity to this salad. They also have oysters, which are half off during their oyster happy hour (Monday to Friday, 3pm-6pm & 10pm-Close). Our server, Lexi, was really kind and knowledgeable about the menu items.

This restaurant has a very high scale, yet chill and relaxed vibe. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the ambiance. Service was amazing, Alexandra was extremely nice and allowed us to take our time without feeling rushed. The Shrimp Spaghettini was delicious and creamy. I also got the Espresso Martini and the Crab Artichoke dish, and I would recommend both.

This was actually our second visit to Rye Street Tavern. Unfortunately, our first experience wasn't great, but our friends gifted us a gift card, so we decided to give it another try. I'm glad we did because this visit was so much better!Since I'm doing Dry January, I ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail called Apple of My Eye, and it was so good! The flavors of orange, cinnamon, and clove really stood out. I had to stop myself from finishing it before the appetizers even arrived. I love that they offer zero-proof cocktails! For appetizers, my husband and I shared the calamari, which was tasty. But if you order anything here, make sure it's the oysters! They were some of the best I've ever had. The Wellfleet oysters, in particular, were my favorite--so fresh. For the main course, my husband had the strip frites. While the portion was on the smaller side, the sauce was delicious, and the steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. I had the short rib rigatoni, and I really enjoyed it. There was a generous portion of tender short ribs mixed in. I had to pack the rest to go! For dessert, my husband was thrilled to see soft serve on the menu--it brought out his inner kid! I chose the apple streusel and loved it, especially the crunchy topping. Our service was outstanding. MICHAEL, our server, did an exceptional job. He was attentive, personable, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Truly a great guy! Overall, we had a wonderful experience and hope Rye Street Tavern continues to thrive. The Baltimore Peninsula is such an exciting area and a great addition to the city.
