I've stopped here in the past, and to be fair, I have not had a problem before. However my most recent experience was so bad, that I probably will only go to this particular Royal Farms again if there are absolutely no other options. My daughter and I stopped on the way home from Pennsylvania to use the bathroom and buy a snack. Our usual snack at Royal Farms is the western fries with cheese. First, the bathroom was pretty gross. I don't think that it gets a daily cleaning. Additionally, the soap dispenser was broken. The real problem though, was the fries. Royal Farms is famous for their chicken and fries, and I have always loved both. We got in the car, started driving, and opened our food. It didn't look like their normal western fries. The pieces of potato were skinny, crunchy, and dark. I tasted one, and immediately regretted it. They were very greasy, and the oil tasted old. I don't think the fryer has been cleaned in quite some time. My daughter tried as well, and felt the same. We ended up throwing the entire order away. I cannot stress enough, how disgusting these fries tasted. I have never had such awful fries.I gave two stars instead of one, because the girl who checked us out was very sweet. The two people behind the hot food counter, were rather rude.

Royal Farms is a chain of gas stations and a quick-stop for sandwiches/deli that has been around since '59. They're known for their famous fried chicken, as it's always prepared with fresh chicken and it's pressure-cooked.Driving up to PA, we sometimes stop by to fill up on gas and/or grab some chicken on the way. We usually go for 1 thigh, 1 drumstick, a side of mashed potatoes and gravy, and an order of their Western fries (potato wedges). The fries can sometimes be hot and crispy, or sometimes soggy as it may have been sitting out a bit. The chicken, depending on the time you get there, you might not get it right out of the pressure cooker; you can always request to be made it fresh and wait. The mashed potatoes can be a hit-or-miss, as sometimes it can have an off flavor to them. There are other go-mart items, such as coffee, beverages, sammies, and snacks for the road. +fried chicken! Ask for it fresh!+plenty of parking

We moved to MD from PA. Royal Farms is a great convenience store. The gas with the rewards card is much less expensive than Landhope next door. They have a nice deli, much like WaWa.The killer is we bought rolls to make our own steaks/meatballs. Argh....subway like bread and not the Amoroso rolls, killed the entire experience. Cheaper gas but sub standard rolls!!!

The had free air! The gas station across the street was charging $1.50....get a clue other gas station. The store was clean and a standard Royal Farms....and THAT is excellence. I also really love the handy B of A ATMs outside or near every single Royal Farms. I have had several things from the order counter. Nice staff, and I really was not sure what to expect since this is not a usual RF stop.

On the trip between route one and I-95, this is one of the few gas stations and convenience stores. Gas prices are reasonable, but the store is dirty. The single restroom is filthy.

Hey, it's the Ro-Fo. You expected something else? This Ro-Fo has the the usual subs/wraps and chicken counter but they also have an additional food processing area that...I always walk past and never really look at so I can't really report on that. But they do make egg and scrapple breakfast sammiches. Yea, I found that out the hard way. They had "scrapple" scribbled on a egg 'n cheese sammich and I thought it said "sausage". Well, kinda. Folks are always friendly there, lotta construction type fellas grabbing their Mt. Dew and corn chips for breakfast in the morning. This one's alright. Oh, and the Bank of America ATM in every Ro-Fo is a saving grace for me. Convenient.

Visited this location on a trip to Great Wolf Lodge in Maryland. It was great--location, variety, taste & quantity for price.

I drive past this one and go to the one in Perryville. Their chicken is not good. More often than not it is either dryer cooked with dirty oil or over cooked. It's a crap shoot if the chicken is going to be good or not. They are a half mile from my house and I have to drive past them to go to another location.Quality control is very poor.

I went in to order a meal for my grandmother, 8 pieces of chicken, 2 biscuits, and Mac & cheese. When I ordered, the worker said it would take 10 minutes for the chicken to cook and my meal to be ready. I stood there for 40 minutes. I ended up cancelling my order and getting my money back. There were no announcements apologizing for the wait or explaining why it was taking so long. If I knew it would take that long, I would've left and cancelled my order earlier. I'm definitely going to think twice about going to Royal Farms and ordering again. Very bad experience.
