Over the past year I have frequented Rookies Hilltop Bar for their excellent pizza's and fresh crush's. It's also been a point of interest to see some of my favorite bands to sing and dance the night away. I've made friends at the bar and have had endless conversations with people of all ages and backgrounds. Most of the staff are wonderful and the bar tenders are awesome people even aside from their craft!I can only give two stars, however, because I was there recently with some friends and the bouncer, having three "witnesses" accused me of taking a bite out of a waitress's sandwich. Those who know me know I'm an honest person and I wouldn't walk away from my own glass of water there, let alone take a bite of someone else's food. I was shocked and embarrassed to have been accused of such a thing and was mortified by the manner in which the bouncer spoke to me (I've seen him several times and he carries himself as though he is overcompensating for something; big "tough" guy attitude). It is a biker bar and I've always been fine with the atmosphere, until this incident. I would absolutely recommend this place for food, drinks, socializing and entertainment, but if you don't fit the "mold," I would be wary of people who may just not like you.

Got takeout pizza here tonight, and it made the Ravens' division-clinching win even sweeter! This restaurant/bar kind of looks like a really souped-up mobile home, in its little parking lot off a country road. Inside, it has a surprising amount of offerings - two good-looking pool tables, jukebox (don't think it was digital), booth seating, and a slightly separated bar area with multiple screens for sports games. It has an old-school feel, dark and woody, and it was quiet tonight when I went in to pick up my pizza, just a few people sitting at the bar, calmly watching the games. Without a ton of bars to choose from in this area, Hilltop seems like a chill place to grab a few beers and play a game of pool - or just grab a pizza (large=$14.50) to go!

We are NJ transplants to Cecil County Md. We have eaten at a lot of restaurants. We love it. The pizza is amazing comparable to the best NJ pizza you can get. They also serve Loose Cannon IPA which is my all time favorite, brewed in Baltimore by Clipper City. The staff is nice and the people that frequent the bar are pretty local, but very nice. Mom (Mary) and Pop are often there. Its not fancy, but they have good music on the weekends as well. If you go in the summer you will see a lot of bikers that stop in and they are all usually very nice. The other thing to try is their old bay wings.... wings fried and then drowned in butter and covered with old bay. The first time we stopped we walked out but once we started going there was no turning back. Yes, they are kid friendly too. All ages.

This is a Pizza ONLY review. This bar serves pretty good pizza, the staff isn't friendly over the phone when I call in an order. The place also seems understaffed as the bar tender is constantly running back to the kitchen. Also don't expect a fast turn around on your order, on a slow day it took 40 minutes and on a Sunday afternoon, over an hour. That said the pizza is pretty decent, not the best but not bad.

I love this place, it kind a has a "cheers" vibe, where everybody knows your name. It's just a kind a quiet out-of-the-way bar where you can get good food, on Friday and Saturday and possibly Sundays live Music. I'll makes crowd to be sure, but if your nose is up in the air and you're better than that then please drive-by or go somewhere else.

Went around 1 stayed til about 7:30 or so. Great atmosphere. Told the bartender I like vodka drinks she thought for a second and came back with the most delicious drink ever. We order tots, chicken fingers, crab dip, and onion petals. Mhmm the food was good. Seasoned well. The sauce that comes with the onion petals is to die for and the little bread that comes with the crab dip is great. The service, food, and drinks were great. If you haven't been here you need to check it out.
